The moment you think you're ready
You've practiced all you could
You thought you could make it
That all came crashing down in an instant
Nobody knew how much that moment meant to you
You thought that nothing could stand in your way
That maybe, just maybe this was your chance
And how excited, but nervous you were for your chance.
When you make that one mistake, you freeze
Then you realize you failed
You kept going hoping you still had a chance
But you screwed up again, and again, and again
You knew at that moment you could've done better
If only you practiced and tried harder
Maybe that was the case
Or maybe there was nothing you could do

A/N: I wrote this today at the region band competition. I sucked so bad! There were 20 Bass Clarinets who tried out and I made 16th chair. I sucked. I have to try again next year.
