"Avery, can I talk to you for a minute?" Ms. Banks asks.
"Sure", I get up from my seat at the restaurant and follow Ms.Banks to the bathrooms.
"What's up?"
"I need you to preform a solo at competition tomorrow." Um, excuse me?
"What? Why?" I question, clearly shocked. "Well turns out we need to have two female solo pieces for our studio to enter. We only needed one last year so we just assumed we only need one this year." Let me just start off by applauding Ms.Banks for her high level of responsibility.
"Wow, Ms.Banks thank you so much. But competition is tomorrow, there's no way we can pull this off. And again I thank you but why didn't you ask any of the other girls?"
My mind is blowing up right now.
"Because, Honey your one of the most responsible girls on this team. And don't worry we rented a hall in the hotel, meet me down there at six." She smiles and walks back to the table. What in the name of butternut squash just happened?

Right after dinner Pace and I went back to our room. I immediately run over to my suitcase and change into a pair of spandex and a 'Big Apple Dance' tank top, I then french braid my hair and snatch my black jazz shoes off the pile of Pace's cloths she sprawled across the room.
"Okay Pace, I'm heading down stairs now. Text me if you need anything."
I conveniently swipe my phone off the counter in the kitchen and bolt out the door. "BYE FRANK" Pace yells, um yeah she can be odd sometimes.I take the stairs since I'm in such a rush, and get there in lighting speed.
When I reach the hall Ms. Banks is practicing a small combination she taught us in class a few weeks ago. Once she realizes me she smiles and stops he music
"Ok Avery the song you'll be dancing to is called 'I don't wanna miss a thing' by Arosmith.
I know it's somewhat of an old song, but it's very beautiful." Ms.Banks explains.
I smile, I absolutely love this song! Old music is something I love, lots of people think it's weird that a 14 year old girl would like old music but I have this connection with it.
"It's one of my favourite songs, thank you so much Ms. Banks." I give her a little side hug but she gives me a full on bear hug, which I great fully return."Now, let's get started on this dance."
___________________Five and a half hours later and Ms.Banks and I finish choreographing, practicing, and perfecting this dance. I make a loud 'thud' as I drop to the ground and finish my forth water bottle, I'm ready to go to bed.
"Okay Avery, I think we're done. Great job sweetie." Ms.Banks pats me on the back and starts packing up. We say our goodbyes and I thank her once again before heading to my room. Once I get there find Cam and Pace fast asleep cuddling, and Jacob watching tv. Before he can start a conversation with me I run I into the bathroom and take a quick shower, after I'm out I change into a pair of plaid pyjama pants and one of Cameron's old band shirts. I tie my damp hair into a messy bun then leave the bathroom and talk with Jacob for probably only ten minutes before falling asleep.________________
No no no no no. I want to stay in bed. For probably the first time in my life I don't want to get up. Ms.Banks and I have to be up for four in the morning to go pick up a last minute solo costume, then the whole team has to be ready at five.
I roll out of bed and drag myself over to my clothes, I just pick out my Big Apple jacket, black leggings, and my Uggs. I take my still damp hair out of the bun I put it in last night and Dutch braid my hair into a side braid. Then I just apply some eyeliner and mascara for makeup. After creeping across the room hoping not to wake anyone, I grab my phone and purse then leave the room.________________
It's been about half an hour and Ms.B and I picked out a two piece navy blue costume, with lace details.

After we're finished at the store we head back to the hotel, Ms. Banks goes back to her room to relax for about half an hour. While I go back to mine to pack my dance bag. I packed both my solo and group dance costume, makeup, loads of hair stuff, extra cloths, and some snacks. Once I'm done it's about time I wake everyone up...this will be my favourite part of the day *evil laugh*.I walk over to the bed Jacobs in and stand on it, then I start jumping up and down like a 9 year old. But that's not enough so I start singing 'Let It Go' at the top of my lungs. Pace blots straight up and glares at me, in the morning she's like a totally different person.
It's hilarious.
She roles over and unexpectedly rolls off the bed. I fall onto the bed and start laughing my head off, and soon Pace joins me. Which eventually wakes the guys, once the laughs fest ends Pace walks to the bathroom and gets ready.
"You dummies fell asleep in here last night!" Pace echoes from the bathroom. "Wasn't my fault, you where the one that wanted to cuddle" Cameron defends. "What's your reason?" I question Jacob, "I have this condition called laziness that prevents me to get up and walk somewhere" Jacob explains. "Ah I see, yeah I have that too". I smile and we both laugh at our pathetic attempt at a joke.Eventually the guys leave to their room to get ready and I end up cleaning up the room.
By the time we get back we get back from a full day of dancing we'll be way to exhausted to clean.
