The taxi comes to a stop, and Camron hands the driver a twenty dollar bill.
We jump out of the cab and walk through the tall glass doors.
I tell the receptionist my name and class the I head off the studio A.
I walk into the studio to find Pace on the dance floor, rocking every move and not missing a beat. After taking off my coat, boots, and socks I place my dance bag on the ground, then slip on my black jazz shoes.
Pace is still dancing, and I don't think that the coaches really want to tell her to stop so everyone else is stretching near the side of the dance floor.
I go down into my middle splits and reach my arms forward, until I can't go any farther. I do my left and right as well. When I finish my stretching I walk over to my bag and grab a water bottle.
"Man she's sick! " I turn my head to see Chex ,Justin , and, Austin some of the guys on the dance team. They are starting at Pace like she's bacon. "This girl didn't even try out how is she on the team?" Austin asks taking a long swig of his red gatorade. "Someone that good doesn't have to tryout for anything" I mumble hoping they won't hear me. Unfortunately they do and walk over to me but still glancing over at Pace.
"Yeah what about you? Can you dance?" Chex ask with an eyebrow up and a smile on, " no I'm just her to shave apes! What do you think I'm doing here?" Note the sarcasm.
"I bet she can't even do the splits" Justin laughs and soon so are Chex and Austin.
While they are distracted is quickly fall into my middle splits going all the way down, and start taking small drinks of my water. When the guys are finally done laughing they look down and their smiles drop. "You where saying" I smile and before they can protest Pace walks over to us.
I scramble to my feet and give her a hello hug and mouth the words "she likes me better then you" to the guys glaring at me. I laugh and Ms.Banks calls the team to the middle of the room.
Pace and I run right in front of the rest of the group, being to exited to even care. Everyone sits down and Ms.Banks starts talking "alright so I have decided that the song you guys will be dancing to this year at competition-" we all lean in like 5 year olds during story time. "-Shake it off by Taylor Swift!" We all scream, and by we ,I mean all the girls the guys just smile.
"Alright I want you to pick a partner and come up with some ideas for the routine" as soon as Ms.Banks says it Pace and I link arms like 3rd graders would. Austin glares at me an I say "sorry she's taken" I laugh at my comment and Pace and I start brainstorming.

"Alight ready?" I ask looking at Pace who's at the other end of the room, she nods and the music begins to play. Right now we are showing Ms.Banks our ideas for the group dance.
After Pace and I do a different moves we start our back hand springs. Both Pace and I have done these millions of times before so I'm not worried.
I do two back hand springs in a row and everyone claps. I flip and do another hand spring, but this time when I land my hand bends back and I fall on the ground. Pace comes running over and so does coach Banks.
My hand is swollen and red. I feel like somebody has punched me in the stomach, I can't help but let the tears go.
"What going on?" Camron asks running over to me with Jacob following closely behind.
" I don't know" Pace exclaims " she was doing fine but she fell on her wrist. "We need to get you to the hospital, NOW!" Camron scoops me up off the ground and starts towards the door. I can see Pace grab my stuff along with mine. My hand fumbles against my knee and I let out a cry of pain.
"We'll take my car we will never catch a cab during this time of the day" says Jacob as he reaches his shaky hands into his pocket for his car keys.
We get into the car with Camron and I in the back ,and Pace and Jacob in the front.
"I can still dance right?" I force out a question before pulling out of the Big Apple Dance company parking lot.
