Seven days goes so slow when you are waiting for your boyfriend to arrive in your home town but it’s been seven days and now Callum is here and I’m the happiest person in the universe. Ok scrap that the second happiest person in the universe. Natalie is in love with Alexander. It’s kinda cute I’ve never seen Alex so sweet and gentle with a girl before. It’s probably because I don’t generally see him with any other girl except me.
“Road trip!” I cheered as we piled in to the car ready to set off. I was driving with Callum and Noah and Alex had insisted on driving with Nat so he got in the car with Natalie, Cat and James.
“Noah you drive!” I insisted because I wanted to snuggle with Cal in the back seat.
“Yes ma’am!” he saluted and grabbed the keys off Callum.
“Dude if you kill my car you won’t be leaving the lake!” Callum warned as he handed his keys over. I laughed and watched as James pulled out of the drive way. “Well not alive anyway.” He muttered as he climbed in to the car next to me and wrapped a protective arm around my shoulder.
“Be nice to Noah he’s driving and we get to snuggle.” I scrunched my nose.
“I’m the only guy without a girl to keep me company.” Noah frowned as he back out of the driveway. I frowned too. I didn’t even think of Noah. What a friend!
“Noah turn left we’ll go pick up Sofia!”
Sofia is another friend from my old school that I’ve been meaning to catch up with since I came home. She’s always up for an adventure and she’s single and she’s sure to like Noah. “I was kidding Livv.” He chuckled.
“I wasn’t… now turn left God dammit!” I said loudly.
Cal rolled his eyes while Noah did as I said and turned left on to the main road. As I gave him directions I told him about Sofia. She’s a really pretty girl. She’s slim and has an amazing body just like Nat. She’s got bright green eyes and long brown hair that comes down to the middle of her back. She’s naturally tanned and I hate her for that. Noah kept nodding his head and he smiled when I told him that usually she was up for anything.
“Sounds like my kind of girl.” He chuckled.
“You be nice to her!” I smiled.
I told him to pull over outside her house and I jumped out of the car and ran up to her front door. “Hi Mrs. Banks is Sofia home?” I asked with a polite smile when Sofia’s mom opened the front door.
“Olivia! How nice to see you! Sofia’s up in her room.” She pointed to her room down the hall.
“Great thanks Mrs. Banks. Oh Mrs. Banks could I ask you something?” I spun back around. I guess I should ask her mom if she’s even allowed to go on a camping trip. She nodded her head and I continued, “Would Sofia be allowed to come on a camping trip with me and my friends? We’re going up to my Poppy’s cabin for two weeks.”
“Of course, when?”
“Now?” I gave her a hopeful grin and she laughed.
“That’s fine it would be good to get her out of the house she’s just broken up with that Scott boy.” What good timing.
“Thank you so much!” I rushed off to Sofia’s room and knocked on the door.
“Ollie!” She said surprised when I walked in to her room. “What are you doing here?”
“Well I came to ask you on a camping trip and your mom already said yes so we gotta run! Grab a bag!” I ordered as I pulled a massive duffle bag from the shelf.
“Where? What? With who?!”
“Nat and I organised it a while ago and my friend Noah’s going to be lonely if you don’t come. I’m bringing my boyfriend, Nat’s gonna be with my other friend Alex and James and Cat are coming as well. Please! You’ll love him! He’s one of my best friends at my new school.” I grinned.
“Well it does sounds like fun … but boyfriend? Why don’t I know about this boy, Ollie?” She cocked an eyebrow and looked at me waiting for my explanation.
“You pack and I’ll tell you about Cal, he’s in the truck with Noah.” I told her and sat on her bed as she pulled open her drawers and started pulling out shirts and shorts. “He lives in the dorm room next to me at school. Our first date was a picnic on the soccer field. Oh! And now Zac goes to the same school as me!”
She stopped what she was doing and glanced at me curiously to see if I was being serious or not. “Zac?” she repeated.
“Yeah and he hates Callum!”
“This Callum guy sounds like a catch… so is this Noah boy cute?”
“Well yeah I guess you could call him cute. I mean I only have eyes for Cal but he’s generally a good looking guy.” I told her as she started to pack again and opened some more drawers and pulled out four bathing suits and heap of undies and some bras.
“So how long are we going for?”
“Two weeks at Poppy’s cabin.”
“Wow. I’ll have to grab some money off my mom. I’ll be back in a sec I need to get some towels.” She got up and walked out of the room. She returned a few minutes later with two large towels and a wad of cash.
“Raid your mom’s purse?” I joked.
She grinned. “Nope that’s my personal stash from the cubby house in the backyard. I haven’t got money off mom yet.” I laughed as rolled up the towels and put the money in the middle it. She stuffed them in her bag and then walked to her connecting bathroom and came out with a make-up bag full of toiletries. “Ok I’m ready!” she zipped up the duffle bag and slung it on her shoulder.
We walked out of the bedroom and down the hall and found Mrs. Banks in the kitchen washing dishes. “Mom could I please have some money?” Sofia asked with a sweet smile.
Her mom stopped what she was doing, dried her hands and walked over to the kitchen table where her bag was and pulled out her purse. She took out four one hundred dollar bills. “Don’t waste it!” She warned as she handed it over.
“Thank you mommy!” Sofia cooed and hugged her mom.
“Call me when you get there please.”
“Okay mom! I’ll see you two weeks!” Sofia yelled as we walked towards the front door.
“The guy driving is Noah.”
“Generally god looking? Ollie that was a lie! He’s gorgeous!”
