Hey all! So this chapter takes place February 14, 1949. It wasn't intended to take place on Valentine's Day, it just sort of worked out that way, so there won't be any sort of of extravagant or extraordinary romantic gestures on Sandy or Dean's part for this one (that can come later). The filming for "My Friend Irma" began February 22nd, 1947, so I figured I'd best give the crew some time to get used to California first. There will be Sandy and Dean fluff...I'm not really used to writing a ton of fluff, but I'll give it a try. Enjoy!

"So...tell me how it happened. In DETAIL this time," Jerry whined, getting a quiet laugh from Sandy. They had only been on the plane heading for Los Angeles for forty-five minutes, and Jerry had been begging his two friends to tell him what had happened the day before to provoke a relationship. Dean had quickly laid his head on Sandy's shoulder and fell asleep, much to Sandy amusement, leaving Jerry to pester her about it until he was blue in the face.

"Fine Jerry...but there isn't that much to tell. I cleaned him up a bit, started crying, and told him he was an idiot. He agreed and told me his side of the story, and then I got mad and started yelling at him and told him I loved him. He was still confused so I kissed him, and then he started kissing me back until Lucas walked in and scared the hell out of us. Then we said we loved each other, and I forgave him for being an idiot. That's basically it," Sandy told him, watching Jerry squeal like an excited teenage girl. He had been ecstatic the moment Dean walked out of the gym holding Sandy's hand tightly, punching his friend in the arm and hugging Sandy like his life depended on it. He was thrilled that his two best friends were finally able to find happiness in each other.

"You guys are too adorable," Jerry gushed, causing Sandy to roll her eyes. She heard Dean snort softly into her shoulder, indicating that he was awake and listening. She stifled a giggle and looked over at Jerry, who was still lost in a land filled with tiny Cupids flying over head.

"Um...thanks?" Sandy said in slight confusion. She wasn't quite sure how calling Dean an idiot before she kissed him was adorable, but it seemed to make Jerry happy. As she listened to Jerry drone on, she closed her eyes and began to fall asleep, her cheek resting firmly on the top of Dean's head.

"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to California," a booming voice announced over an intercom. Dean, Sandy, and Jerry were making their way out of the airport, searching for the car that had been sent by Hal Wallis to pick them up. They would have a week to see all the sights before getting to work, and all three of them were excited. Sandy had never been to the West Coast before, and she was thrilled at the prospect of getting to actually work in Hollywood, a place she could only dream about when she was a kid.

"I say we drop off our stuff and go straight to the beach!" Dean said, looking at Sandy hopefully. Jerry nodded enthusiastically as well, his eyes brightening at the prospect. Sandy laughed and took Dean's hand, looking up at him pointedly.

"I don't see why not....as long as a certain somebody keeps his eyes focused on ME at all times and not on some bikini clad beach bunny," she teased. Dean blushed and raised his eyebrows at her, a small grin plastered on his face. He kissed her forehead sweetly, ignoring Jerry's little squeal of delight.

"Come on baby, you know the only bikini clad beach bunny I'll have my eye on is you," he joked, getting a playful slap from Sandy in return.

"Mr. Martin?" A man's voice called out, causing all three of them to turn around. A man in a chauffeur's hat was standing behind them, with a cardboard sign that read "Martin, Lewis, and Lawrence" in big block letters.

"I'm assuming that's our ride," Dean said jovially, holding out his arm for Sandy to take it. Sandy, in turn, held out her arm for Jerry, wanting to keep him from feeling left out. Jerry laughed and took her other arm, and the three made their way over to the car.
