*Bryden's p.o.v*

After gym I showed Rayne the rest of her classes unluckily for me she had all honors classes so the only class we'd have together is gym. the rest of he day went by quickly and soon I found myself at home a few hours before the big game.

I hopped in the shower and sighed as I felt the hot water hit my body repeatedly relaxing my tensed muscles as I began to wash my body. looking down at my arms I saw them. The things  that made me who I was. scars. at-least 50 of them deep wounds that would never fade and that I hid from the rest of the world accept my dad that is. he got me help last year and since then I haven't relapsed but I feel like it's just a matter of time until I do.

I stepped out of the shower and threw a pair of sweats and a t-shirt on grabbing my gym bag that contained all of my football gear and headed out to the field for practice and then the big game. while I was walking past the old park that was pretty worn down and not very safe for small children I saw Rayne I smiled softly at the sight of her until I saw she had tears in her eyes

"hey are you OK?" I asked sitting down next to her on the cold metal bench the September breeze softly blowing causing her hair to gently sway in the wind and she quickly tucked a piece behind her ear nervously.

"hey are you OK?" I heard a familiar voice ask as I lifted my head wiping my tears quickly as I noticed it was Bryden "ye...yeah" I sniffled faintly as I rubbed the sleeve of my jacket across my face trying to make myself look presentable. "no you aren't I know i'm a stranger but sometimes it's a good idea to let out your feelings." I nodded he was right the people at the mental help center always said the same thing so for some odd reason I decided to open up to this totally unfamiliar totally hot classmate of mine.

"I had a bad dream about some stuff that happened last year. I know i'm going to sound like a freak but, last year just around this time I tried to commit suicide and I had a nightmare about it" I looked down shyly not wanting the only real friend I had made at this new school think I was a freak.

"I tried to commit suicide" that's what I heard this beautiful girl I had met less than 24 hours ago knew exactly how I felt. "hey" I said softly poking her leg awkwardly "I know exactly how you feel" she looked up at me confused but, when I pulled my sweatshirt sleeve up the face she made was clear that she knew know what I was talking about. she didn't say anything she just pulled me into a tight hug smiling softly it felt like I had connected to her unlike I had connected to anyone else ever before.

"Hey wanna come to my game? get your mind off things?" I suggested hoping shed say yes she smiled and nodded "that sounds fun" her delicate voice lingered a few seconds in my ear before we stood up and began to walk to mcman field.
