{POV-Ellie}
"It's getting late. I should leave." I told Levi as I stood up from the floor and grabbed my bag.
"Alright. Don't get murdered."
"Wow, thanks." I said, giving him a weird look along with a giggle.
"What? Did you want me to say get murdered instead?" He said, sounding completely serious.
"Whatever." I said under my breath. I left without saying anything else. He seemed to be okay with it, since he didn't come running after me.

Before I could even reach for the doorknob, it zoomed away from me and my mother's face hit mine. She was actually quite close to me. "So! How'd it go, honey?" She chirped as she motioned me into the kitchen. The teapot was spitting steam and she poured the boiling water into a red mug, making the steam warm my nose. (I don't even like tea.)
"It was fine." I said nonchalantly. But, oh. It was better than fine.
"Did he say anything sweet?" She gasped as if she'd just seen a monster behind me. "Did he kiss you?"
My eyes widened at her question. Why would Levi want to kiss me? Better yet, why did he kiss me? I couldn't tell her that he kissed me, since I promised him that I wouldn't tell anybody. But, I had to tell my mom.
Wait, then she'd know then tell everyone else, then Levi would find out, then he would get mad at me. Why was this so hard?
"No, mom! We just hung out and ate pizza. Nothing above pg-13. I guarantee you that." I said rolling my eyes. "Plus, we'd never date. We've been friends for a long time." I looked to the table and saw it was decorated with a golden turkey vibrant with meats and fruits and vegetables surrounding it in other bowls or platters. "What's all this?" I asked, gazing around the food.
"That is for the Wilson's. They'll be coming tonight at around... Oh! Eighteen minutes. Sorry, honey." She said as she shoved a bowl of cold soup and bread into my arms. "Just go hang out with your friends or something."
I sighed and went up to my bedroom, sipping the cold soup, which wasn't very satisfying. So, instead, I reached for the chocolate bar stash under my bed. I heard the front door creak open and the Wilson's stomping in with their fancy shoes. As I was picking away at my chocolate bar, I heard my phone buzz. I reached over to grab it off of my nightstand to see that Evan was calling me.
Evan has been one of Levi's friends since grade school. Evan and I are friends now too, since Levi introduced us to each other last summer at his house. But, I do find it quite weird that Evan and Levi are friends since they are complete opposites. Levi loves to do crazy things like go to parties and climb onto rooftops. Even, on the other hand, loves to volunteer at animals shelters and do non-illegal things. So, when I started to get to know Evan, I was quite confused as to why the two were friends. But, I let it be, since Avery and I aren't very similar either.
I pressed the green button on the screen as I brought it up to my ear. "Hello?" I asked into it.
"Hey," He said, sounding a little upset. He was always upset about something, despite how he tells everyone to be happy. He was always upset about something; whether it be about being four minutes late to a class, or about dropping a good piece of food on the ground. He would always find something to get mad at. I think that's because he always wants to have a reason to call me. He was really clingy, but I kind of liked it.
