Katheryn forgot her keys to her house, so she couldn't let us in. She sighed and gently knocked on the wooden door. A few moments later, I heard the doorknob turn and the door swing open. To my surprise, Levi was there to great us. Why was I surprised? Well, I just wasn't expecting him. I know, he lives there... But still. Levi almost gave me a smile, before he probably remembered why he was mad at me. His face went back to the empty glare he had been giving me the past few days.
"Is Katheryn here?" Grace asked him with her chirpy attitude as she and Katie pranced up to us.
"Right here." Levi replied with a smile. I never knew how much I missed his smile until he smiled at someone else. He hadn't smiled at me at all that week, and it was starting to make me worry.

As Levi was leaving the room and everyone else was talking, I decided to run up to Levi and try to talk to him.
"Hey," I started.
He turned around, before realizing that it was me, then tried to walk away again.
"Levi, listen." I begged and tugged at his wrist.
He finally turned around and stopped trying to leave me, but he gave me that glare again.
"Okay. I don't know what's up with you, but I would like an explanation as to why you aren't talking to me." I paused to give him a chance to speak. He didn't. "Levi, please." I begged while looking him straight in the eyes. "All I want from you is an explanation. You told me you were sorry for ignoring me. Now, you're doing it again." I sighed. "I don't think you're sorry." I said, feeling my eyes tear up.
I could see the tension in his body as he clinched his jaw and fists with urge in his eyes. Almost as if he was trying to hold himself back. But, for what reason? I stared into his eyes with my eyebrows furrowed, like I was heartbroken. I could tell that it hurt him to see me like this, but I couldn't help him.
"Ellie, I am sorry ignoring you." He finally said.
"Really, Levi? You are? Then why do you keep doing it?" I yelled at him, making everyone's heads turn towards us. Levi noticed and took my hand, dragging me up the stairs and into his bedroom.
He slammed the door behind him and ran his hands through his perfectly died, white hair. "Ellie, you don't understand." He began with his eyes glued to the carpet.
"What don't I understand?" I yelled a little too harshly. I didn't give him a chance to speak as I took a few steps forward and ended up right in front of him. "Listen, I don't know what's going on with you, but I'd appreciate it if you'd talk to me." I begged him.
He didn't look at me, and that made me think that he wasn't listening. I placed my hand under his chin and forced his head to look at me. His eyes met mine and I couldn't tell what he was thinking; anger, sadness, happiness. They were neutral.
"Please, Levi." I begged him with sadness in my eyes. He turned his head to the left, and bit his bottom lip. It looked like he was struggling with himself; he wanted to tell me something, but he couldn't. I didn't know what else to tell him.
I walked away from him and sat on the floor, with my back leaning against the bed. "Just say something. It doesn't even matter what you say anymore." I said quietly, hoping that he heard me.
He didn't answer, which led me to believe that he was completely deaf.
I played with the hem of my shirt, my shoes, my hair, and the carpet in the time it took for Levi to finally sit next to me. "Took you long enough." I said quietly, not caring what he did next. I rolled my eyes before bringing my knees to my chin.
