"Yeah, I'd like to know what "the girl without fear" is afraid of."

"I'm afraid of being penned up. I'm afraid of Joseph, a bit. I'm afraid that you'll meet a girl who'll take you away from me. I'm afraid of growing old and not being able to move. I'm afraid of kissing, and what follows," Stormy rushed out in one breath.

"You've never been kissed? Besides- you know," asked a dazed Devan.

"And you have?"

His ears turned red, "Yes. Even though you're afraid of it, do you want to be kissed?"

"Not by you! That's just too weird. You're more like a brother. I don't know."

"If you two don't hurry up you won't be able to leave. The force field is only passable at a certain time! Are you coming or not?"

"What's-er-name. The flowpow. Sure, we'll come."

"Dev! Her name is Lilly! Lead the way." Stormy followed the fluttering form ahead of her.

"Ask your questions, and if I can. I'll answer them," Lilly said.

They walked for around five minutes before anyone spoke. Devan asked, "How do you tell one flowpow from another?"

"Our flower of course."

"Explain please?" Devan said.

"Every flowpow is born with a different hat. Once that flowpow dies, another can take the name. But, there can't be two of the same one," Lilly explained.

"Oh," Devan said.

"I have one," Stormy said, "What is commander?"

"Our commander."

"Who's the commander and what does he/she command?"

"I cannot tell you the name. But, he commands the rebel group that defies the black king. They have headquarters in Wu Dwelveden, Or in regular speech, The Ancient Wood."

"And who do you think we are?"

"Can't tell you that, either," Lilly said.

"So we can't know we are supposed to be?" Stormy asked.

"Not yet at least."

Stormy looked up at the sky, "It's almost midnight."

"Excellent! Not much farther now. We'll be able to get through the wall," Lilly exclaimed.

"What's the wall?" Devan asked, voicing Stormy's thoughts.

"A force field that encircles the meadow," Lilly answered.

They walked in silence. Ten minutes later the air sort of shuddered and they shivered as it passed.

"We're through!" Lilly cried excitedly. "Follow me!" She whizzed of forcing them to run after her.

But, not before they took in their surroundings. They were in an enormous forest. The trees were huge, bigger around than most houses. But they were packed close together.

They barely managed to keep the flowpow in sight as she zipped around trees. As Stormy ran she realized that the very air didn't feel right. It wasn't normal. It was something more.

They rounded yet another tree to come to a hurtling stop. "A prong!" whispered Lilly fearfully.

Up ahead, an animal that resembled a stag, but it was bigger. It had the tail and body structure of a horse. It turned at the sound of Lilly's voice. It showed fangs and deadly claws on its front feet.
