Six hours later a knock sounded on Stormy’s door, jolting Saphire and Lilly awake. “Who’s there?” Stormy called.

A muffled, “Zach,” came through the door.

“Evans, come on in,” Stormy sighed.

He turned the doorknob and came in, “Wow.” His eyes bugged.

She laughed, “You act so surprised.”

“You’ve never dressed like that before.”

“Not my fault. And I guess I haven’t. What did you want?”

“Everyone wants to meet you two. Also, to discuss you schedule and where you should be at in our ranks. And, determine who your teachers should be in weaponry, strategy, and Grammarye.”

“We get to study magic?” Stormy almost shouted excitedly.

“You already had it in you, the dragons just enhanced it,” Saphire interrupted him, growling. “Excuse me, Saphire and Fire just enhanced it.”

“So, we need to get Devan?” Stormy asked.

“Yes,” he sounded regretful.

“Saphire, Will you?” Stormy turned to her friend and dragon.

It’s done, Fire is getting him.

“He’s coming,” Stormy said.

“So, um, how are you?” Evans asked.

She looked down, “I'm fine. Who’s the really pretty woman who dragged me into that room?”

“Oh, that’s Aireya. She’s the Elvin Queen. Her sister is overseeing the kingdom, in her absence.”

“But, why is she here is she’s Queen?” Stormy asked.

Evans didn’t get a chance to answer, because just then, a disgruntled Devan burst through the light green door, “What is going on?” He got a good look at her and a slow smile spread across his face, “Loosen up, much?” Then he glared at Evans.

Stormy grumbled, “If I’d have known that a simple outfit could cause this much fuss, then I would not have stayed up and explored around.”

“You didn’t get any sleep?” both guys said at once, narrowing their eyes, and adopting the same posture, and expression.

She looked from face to face and laughed. “I’m a night owl, you know that Dev. I operate at full strength and speed on two to three hours of sleep. I'm perfectly fine, I promise.”

They cast glares at her but let the matter rest. “That reminds me. Your sword fighting skills need tested. But not against each other, the two of you are too much in sync. We’ll get you some swords,” Evans informed.

“We already have swords,” Stormy replied.

“We do?” asked a puzzled Devan.

“Yeah, Saphire touched my stick to her nose and it transformed into this,” Stormy reached behind her back and held up a deep blue sword, its hilt embedded with sapphires. “She says its name is Juka,” even though she stumbled over the unfamiliar word a shower of ice still shot from the tip of the sword and stuck to the ceiling. “I’m guessing that means Ice,” Stormy said to a stunned silence.

Fire entered with Devan’s discarded stick he laid it down and touched his nose to it. It turned into a red sword with rubies sunk into the hilt. Akuj is its name. Fire carefully nudged it to Devan.
