Devan and Aireya danced the afternoon away. She told him how the kingdom of the elves was the discoverers of the dancing arts. The elvin kingdom possessed the best dancers in the world. And the few humans who the elves taught were unparalleled. She taught him The Swan Dance, Dragons Fire, Dancing Eagles, The Trees that were Alive, and The Lovers’ Dance.

Stormy and Evans lay under the covers. Their breathing had slowed down, and he played with a lock of her hair. “Storm?”

       “Hm?”

       “Can you turn me tonight?”

“No,” she told him, without any hesitation.

       “Why not?”

“Because, I don’t want to. It’s not for you. You already have temperamental issues. What more do you need?” she snapped.

“Okay, okay. Sorry for asking. It’s a you and Devan thing isn’t it?”

“Yes. It’s almost nightfall. I’ll get Devan. You get in his room.” She stood up, dressed, as he went. She reached across the bond that they shared, You get over here, and Aireya. Have her Transport to your room, and you to mine.

Okidokie. Devan Appeared next her. She had already locked the connecting doors.

“Take your clothes off. They’ll just rip if you leave them on.” Stormy told him, then started undressing.

“You’re the boss lady.” Devan undressed. Devan examined her, “There’s something different about you.”

Stormy blushed, then a thought occurred to her. “Oh, Devan please say you don’t think I betrayed you. I mean you are trying to move on…and I didn’t really think about this before. I’m so sorry.”

Devan sighed, instantly clued in to what she had done. “Storm, I’m not mad. It was inevitable. But, I think fate may still have plans for us. So, I’m not worried, I’ll get you in the end.” He grinned at her and swiftly crossed the room to her. He swept her into a huge bear hug. Then he kissed her forehead. Stormy felt tears come to her eyes.

Then the moon shone through the window and they changed, still wrapped up. Stormy said in his mind, “Dev, I think fate may be telling you falsehoods. You are really something. Oh, and Dev. We’re gonna be the King and Queen.”

Devan laughed, “Of course we are. If we got your determination behind it, there’s no way we won’t. Let’s hunt, hun.”

Devan Transported them out into the cold air. They ran through the woods, taking comfort from just being together. After awhile, Devan growled softly, “Storm, there’s a scent on the air. It smells of prey and predator.”

Stormy sniffed, “It’s a bear. And, man, for this much stink he’s got to be huge. Let’s both take ‘em down.”

They turned and followed the scent through the woods. They came upon him in a clearing. He growled at the two intruders. Stormy and Devan howled a challenge. The bear charged at them. His claws tore into Stormy’s shoulder. She whimpered, but bit his paw, causing him to let go. Devan growled in fury, raking his claws along the bear’s side. It responded with a roar and turned on Devan. Stormy leaped up onto his back, digging in her claws.

The bear reared up on two legs and shook itself. Stormy hung on. Devan slashed at him from the ground. The bear threw himself backwards, aiming to smash Stormy on a tree. Stormy leaped off just in time. She and Devan leaped, latching on to it’s throat. The bear whimpered as blood poured over the werewolves and it fell to the ground. Stormy and Devan howled a victory while Stormy healed her shoulder. Then, they ate.
