Hi readers! I know this update is short, but I wanted to give you a little something before my week gets too busy. In honesty, sitting down and coming up with ideas for this story is very hard for me. So please forgive me if its a tad boring for a while. I'm trying to decide where I want this to go, but I've never been very good at planning ahead. Thank you all for reading this story and for voting. It means alot. Muah!

The palace could be seen now, its spires climbing into the sky, above the tops of the trees.

Our home, my wolf purred.

Thea stood silent beside me, her eyes alight with wonder and her mouth hanging slightly open. She looked... happy. My heart warmed at the thought. All I wanted was for her to be happy, and maybe someday she would even be happy with me... learn to love me. I stopped my thoughts there, ashamed at myself for thinking of such nonsense. Who was I to deserve even the thought of love? After all I've done?

"What do you think?" I said, reaching out to touch my fingertips to her cheek, the lightest of touches. She flinched, but didn't pull away.

"I thought you might be kidding.... but you really do live in a castle." She turned to me, and smiled. A real smile. "When I was little, I painted a picture of a castle, and told my mom that I lived there." Suddenly she wasn't smiling anymore, and instead a darkness had crept into her eyes.

"Thea... what is it?" Her cold eyes met my own concerned pair. She was so far away now, and in such a short time.

"That's the first time I've remembered anything about my life before." She fiddled with her hands, clearly uncomfortable with sharing something so personal. "And all I can remember is a stupid painting." I didn't know what to do, emotions weren't really my strong suit.. especially when it came to hormonal shewolves with thoughts deeper than my own.

"Lets go home, Thea." I extended my hand towards her and waited. Slowly, warily, she put her hand in mine.

"Home," she said. "We like the sound of that." By we she obviously meant her wolf as well. I shook my head at my peculiar mate, but couldn't help smiling.

So peculiar, so special, so mine.
