Lucy's POV

The control room was fantastic! I found it to be just as beautiful as the room I was in before. A decent sized round room; the control panel in the center. To many people, the room would look old and rusty, but I like it. "This place is amazing. This...this...what did you call it? A Tar-."
"It's my Tardis. Only one in existence." He walked to the controls and set his gaze on a screen. I could tell he was really deep in a thought.
I walked around the room admiring the round things on the walls. They are very interesting, I have no clue why.
'So many questions. But he is so busy.' Everything was coming back now. I need answers.
"Then ask him." I am pretty sure I jumped really high. The same voice I heard in the halls, the same woman.
"Doctor?" He gave me a small 'hmm' and let his gaze fall on me. "Is there anyone else here? Anyone. Like a woman?" His questioning glance turned into confusion; then realization.
"Oh! Oh you mean the Tardis. She told me she could speak to you." He started to bounce as he talked, putting his hands in his pockets joyfully."
"Wait...wait...it can talk?" Then I pondered in what he said the night before, "and last night you said...you said you travel in time and space. Time and space...how do you travel through time?!? What the... I can't..."
"Well, it can talk through telepathy. Which is strange since it takes a while to form a connection, and you have been here a day." He strolled towards me and looked into my eyes when he was in front of me.
"That's insane." Then I thought about it, "it's so amazing too." I looked up and the Doctor went back to the screen.
"Why don't you ask him your questions? He's not doing anything important. Trust me" The Tardis was talking to me. Talking to my mind, and I could process it as a person talking? This is unbelievable. How does this happen?
"Doctor, I have a lot of questions." They were killing me. I needed answers I need to understand.
"And I have a lot of answers." He replied while walking around the control pad.
"You said you travel in time right?"
"Indeed I do. Time and space. All the time."
"First, are you an alien? Second, why do I not find this scary or too hard to process. I feel right at home here. Everything here makes sense, but the fact that it all makes sense, doesn't make sense." I stopped and thought about the last sentence. "That made no sense. I need to chill. I am over-thinking everything and it isn't good."
"Well to answer your first question, yes. I am an alien. I come from the planet of Gallifrey. It's far, far away from Earth. Now, for your second question/though, I can't answer that. Somehow you are subconsciously linked to the Tardis. Your mind and vitals are normal. You aren't scared, you aren't nervous. You show signs of wanting to be scared but you aren't I can't explain it. I checked some data on the Tardis data banks and there has never been a case like this." He went back to the screen he had been looking at before and frowned.
"Lucy, how old are you?" His random question shocked me. For some reason I don't remember when I was born. I have always been told I was sixteen or looked twenty, maybe. I don't remember a birthday party.
"Um, I'm not sure? I have always thought I was sixteen or something. I'm in highschool. I'm supposed to graduate this year but I don't really know." I don't remember much of my life. I feel like I just popped into existence with the life I have now.
"What do you mean? You must know how old you are."
"That's just it. I don't! I never realized..." Something was in the back of my mind. I was starting to remember something, but I could just be insane.
"Would you like to see other planets? Travel with me for a couple days? It's pretty sudden, I will admit, but I think we could find some answers together."
Travel?! With a total stranger? I haven't even known this man that long, and he wants me I travel with him? I am also shocked that the idea of seeing another planet was the first thing he said and I find that totally normal. My age? Planets? Time travel? Of all things, I wanted to believe this guy was a lunatic and that he was gonna hurt me in the worst ways possible, but I couldn't bring myself to believe he was crazy. Everything he said seemed normal. I felt comfortable with this stranger and I didn't care what happened to me cause I left my family anyway. I don't have any reason to stay on earth.
"Lucy, you should say yes. You know the place better than you think." The Tardis trying to encourage me. I am liking this. I am starting to believe that this telepathic space ship is normal too.
"Yes. I will go with you." I didn't want to leave his side. I wanted answers and I knew he would find them. "Any time and where. I want the adventure. But I also want answers. I'm finding all this to be normal, but I know that I am just a human."
His eyes brightened and he started messing with the controls, pressing buttons and flipping switches. "We are going to the Library. A place of vast knowledge from every time era and every planet. It will be there. Last time I was there I saved 4,022 people and lost 5. I can find answers there." He seemed upset after he said he lost 5 people. But I didn't question him about it. I figured it's for the best.
"So what do you expect to find?"
"Anything that the Tardis is unable to decode about you."
"What do you mean?!"
"I set the Tardis to scan you, to make sure you stay okay. She is trying to gain data about you and figure out how you have telepathic connection with her. It's quite the mystery, and she can't find out anything. You seem to never exist. I have her searching through every hospital record for you. Anything from the past couple years and continue to go backwards."
"So this planet, the Library, it should have answers?"
"It's supposed to have every bit of knowledge to ever come into a person's head. Many stories about people that no one has ever heard of, but they are significant because they are the keys to many untold and unsolved mysteries." Then we landed.
