Aleks woke up with a jolt. He was still in his so called bed. It was comfy, but when you're human half the time you're not used to dog beds. Even after 2 years of escaping the lab he's still not used to that.
'Why did i dream that dream again? And who is that man? I recognized Christina from the lab but that man...' He thought. Aleks stretched then walked in a bedroom. The bedroom had two guys, sleeping on a comfy bed. Ge jumped up and laid beside the two males. I saw one of their head pop out of the sheets and stared at me. He smiled then patted my head.
"Good morning, Immortal" he said tiredly. The other male looked up. He laughed and said:
"Kevin, you know Immortal's not allowed on the bed" Aleks flattened his ears and gave a sad puppy look and starred at the male hybrid. "Ok, you can stay. What time is it, Kevin?"
Kevin looked at the clock and his eyes widen. "Oh shit i have to go to work!" He got out of bed and rushed getting dressed.
"That still doesn't answer my question"
"7:15 am, Steven" Kevin grabbed his laptop and put it in his briefcase, along with paperwork. Aleks grabbed the cell phone on the nightstand with his mouth and put it beside Kevin's briefcase. "Thanks boy" Kevin said as he headed for the kitchen, grabbing a poptart from the pantry. He went for the entrance of the house, realizing he forgot his briefcase. He turned to find the husky with the briefcase in his mouth.
"Wow, boy! It's almost as if you had a human brain!" He laughed as he exited the house.
'If only you knew...' Aleks thought. Steven walked into the kitchen. His fluffy tail was in the position that showed he was sad. 'Sometimes i just want to comfort him, but for my own sake i just watch him.' Aleks walked closer to his owner and sat down beside the kitchen chair Steven was sitting on.
"I guess i need to feed you too." Before he could get up, Aleks put his head on the hybrid's lap. Steven smiled and said: "Yeah, i know. But he has to work to keep the house running, so..." The day continued as usual. Steven did the house work while Aleks was in his bed watching tv.
"You're a strange husky there, Immortal" Steven said as he was cleaning the dishes. Later, Kevin came back from work. He looked like work drained his energy. He sat down on the couch and sighed. Aleks sat beside the tired human indicating to pet him. Kevin smiled and petted his back and head.
"Man, I'm happy we decided to get a dog instead of adopting a child" said Steven kissing Kevin's cheek.
"I know. Plus, he's very intelligent, almost like us." For once, everyone was happy and enjoying themselves until a knick came on the door.
