*Third person POV following Kevin*
Kevin was still in the interrogation room. He was in handcuffs that were attached to the steel table, since already he tried to break free twice. He didn't know where Steven is. A loud screeee was heard from the speaker in the room.
"Mr McFarlaine, please answer our questions. Did you know that Aleksandr Vitaly was a Demon changer when you found him?" Asked the voice in the speaker, followed by a frog croak.
"I'm still not saying jack shit until i know my fiancé is safe!" Said Kevin angrily. A sigh came from the speaker. Then a solder entered with a small television with a camera on top of the screen.
"Mr. McFarlaine, this the last chance i give you. Unless you want to witness your love suffering more?" The solder opened the television screen, witch revealed Steven all beat up. He had fresh bruises on his face and then Steven looked up at his camera, trying to smile for his lover but as he smiled, he was immidiatly punched in the face. Steven spat out blood, looking at the ground. Kevin felt his eyes tear up. The one that he kissed, hugged, loved, is suffering because of his stuburness. Kevin looked down at his feet. He wanted to blame Aleks for this.
'No. It was our fault that we're in this mess." Kevin thought.
"I'll give you two options. Either you answer us, or the man dies. I'll give you 30 seconds." Thoughts raced into Kevin's mind. Is he going to confess and let them closer to the side i was truly on? Or let them kill Steven and god know what happens to himself? He looked at the tv. Steven was looking a the camera this time and giving a look that Kevin knew what it meant. A tear went on the side of his cheek. Was he reallly about to do this?
"I-" he was cut off by a solder shooting the solder close to the television. The solder then unfuffed Kevin and blocked the camera. He heard a "what's going on?" From the television. Then after that solder left the room a some gun shots were heard.
"Fraiser is down. I reapete: Fraiser is down." He heard from the speaker that was still on.the solder came into the room and took of his helment. The man looked about in his 20s. He had a buzz cut and hazel eyes. He looked at Kevin and said:
"Kevin McFarlaine, your coming with me."
"Wh- who are you?" Kevin said.
"Names Justin. But please don't call me that please call me Varsy." He said then grabbed Kevin's arm. Kevin struggeled out of the grip and glared at the solder.
"How can i know if i can trust you?" Kevin said. Varsy then turned into a black bear for 5 secondes then turned back into his human form. "Better?" Varsy said.
"Then, you have to get my fiancé! He's beaten up pretty bad and i don't even know if he's ok-" the rebellion solder put his hand on his solder.
"He's in the next room. We'll go get him the get to the helicopter." He said but Varsy, being Varsy, immediately thought of: 'GET TO THA CHOPPA!' (oh, Varsy!). They ran into the next room, with Varsy shooting the solders. To Kevin's horror, Steven was on the ground, blood leaking out from his wound on his stomach. A solder shot him while Varsy and him were in the other interrogation room.
"STEVEN!" Kevin yelled, flipping Steven on his back the covering his wound. Steven started to cough up blood.
*third person POV following Dr. Aubrey*
Kahlen still felt the side effects of the shot. Even after two hours, she kept coughing and her vision sometimes went blurry. She was with Crane. For some bizarre reason, he smiles. But not the normal smile, oh no, it's the most sinister smile you could ever see. She went to the washroom to check on the infected area. When she got to the bathroom, a voice came from the inside of her lab coat.
"Kay, come in. I've got an injured man with one of the person we have to rescue. Please come over here in interrogation room #24, over" Kahlen took the walky talky from the inside pocket of her lab coat.
"Varsy, i'm coming over quickly, over" She went to get her first aid kit quietly without Crane noticing. She rushed to the interrogation area and went to room #24. Her ears flattened on the side of her head hybrid was on the floor with a human on top of him, putting pressure on the wound. She immediately rushed to the man, taking out her necessities. She lifted up his shirt and put a stick in his mouth.
"Bit on it." She said. He did as he was told and she took out a small knife. "This may hurt but it's the only way you'll survive." Said Kahlen before digging the small knife into the wound to get the bullet out. The young hybrid's screams were muffled by the stick. When the bullet was out she put pressure on the wound. She signalled with her cat tail to bring her the badages. She told the young man to sit straight up. She then bandaged tighty so there would still be pressure on it. "Are you able to carry him? She asked the human. He nodded and took the hybrid in his arms
"It's going to be ok Steven. Don't worry." the human whispered in the hybrid's ear.
"you're more worried than me" said Steven. they headed towards the emergency staircase to go up on the roof.
*third person POV following Aleks*
"Chis?" Aleks said before hugging her tightly. he remembered when she was only twelve and was so weak she couldn't even walk and now she's got some muscles on her.
"sorry to interrupt the reunion here, but we have to go to the helicopter!" said the Hispanic.
"what about Ryan? Chris, you said we would get Ryan!" said the man that Aleks assumed was Felix. She nodded
"Sly, bring them up, i'll go find his friend." said Chris before running into the experimentation area. they all went to the helicopters. A man with messy hair and a man with scales and large dragon- like wings were there with a woman with red hair and a horn in her forehead. She must be a mythical hybrid, just like that scaly one beside her.. then an old friend was their with Kevin and Steven and..... a lab scientist from 2 years ago. He growled and went up to her. Varsy stepped in front of Aleks.
"she's a friend now. And i'm doing fine thank you very much" said Varsy. Aleks rolled his eyes and went into the helicopter. He sat beside Steven, who was wounded. Steven was mostly on Kevin's lap. Aleks turned into his husky form and cuddled Steven. A faint smile appeared on his face. soon after Chris came with a man in a poker face mask. Varsy started counting the people. to his horror, they didn't have enough seats for everyone. someone had to stay behind until the third helicopter came.
