Eddie took the Aleks into a tent. But for some reason, eyes followed Eddie. Maybe he should tell Aleks about his dreams... Aleks falling while Sly was reaching for him. Eddie laughed at the thought. 'Yeah right, he would call me nuts just like Seamus did.' He left Aleks to change before going to the leader of the rebellion. As he exited the tent he heard a loud scream;
"Oh my gosh IT'S DEADOX! HE'S BACK!"
'What? Deadlox? He disappeared 3 years ago after our 16th rescue mission!' Sly thought as he was running to the entrance to see. Everyone was there, even the members who didn't know who Deadlox was. He saw Adam pushing threw the crowd trying to reach his friend a horrified expression on his face. Sly looked down at the beaten man, he had to admit that if the same had happened to any of his friends, he'd have the same horrified face. Adam, or sky, picked up his friend and rushed into the medical tent followed by Chris and Jason.
Sly trudged back to his tent and saw a head poking out.
"Wh-what's all the ruckus about?" Asked Aleks looking at all the people in the entrance, talking and glancing at each other.
"A rebel that disappeared three years ago was found at the entrance of camp. My guess is that he escaped and limped here." Eddie entered the tent to explain the full story without anyone over hearing. "Look, three years ago, Sky, Grey, Deadlox or his real name Tyler, our leader and I, went on our sixteenth rescue mission. I have to admit, Deadlox was the best of all of us. But on that mission, there were too many solders. He stayed behind to hold them back and said he would report back to base. He never did.
Deadlox, TrueMU and Sky were the top group in this camp. But after the disappearance, Sky left for 2 years. He came back ten months ago and he was supposed to leave again in two months." Aleks stayed silent. "Well, i'm gonna go check on him. The leader's tent is that huge on over there" Sly pointed at the huge reddish-goldish tent.
Aleks waved goodbye and headed towards the tent.
Eddie went to the medical tent and something was off. He knew something was different about Deadlox. Like, he was a different species. Sky and Jason were waiting eagerly for their friend to wake up. Chris put a cold towel on Deadlocks forehead. She signalled Sky and Jason to leave.
"But Chris-" Sky started.
"There's too many people. Jeez. Ariel and Skylar have to leave." They left.
Sly saw that Steven guy being disinfected by Kay. He saw Chris starting to check Deadlox's pulse. She realized Sly was here. She walked towards him and started whispering.
"So, who is Deadlox this guy? It seems that everyone knows him. Do you know him?" Sly nodded.
"Hey, you notice something... Different, do you?" He asked in a low voice.
Chris nodded. "Yeah. He's a changebrid, but different from the rest of us." Sly's suspicions were right. He bent down until his face was at the height of her ear.
"Chris, Deadlox is supposed to be a human."
After Sly left for the tent, Aleks went into the red and golden tent. Ten people, all over thirty years old. One looked up from the map he was studying and smiled. He had brown and white hair and deep blue eyes.
"Aleksandr Vitaly Marchant. So nice to see you boy! I'm Borris Dias. Im the one who started and lead the Rebellion." His smile widened. "I've heard a lot about you. Like how you escaped two years ago" Aleks was slightly shocked that someone could have remembered that.
"Huh. I thought people would have forgotten about my escape..." He said scratching the back of his head.
"The way that you escaped was fascinating. I would like you to demonstrate for all of us the way that you shot the guard." Borris said while leading Aleks to an underground and soundproof room where a human dummy was standing in the middle. He gave the boy a gun.
"Shoot it the way that you shot the guard." Aleks aimed the gun at the dummy. He was a good distance from it, then he shot both of the dummy's legs and arms. He approached the dummy, shooting the stomach as he stopped in front of it.
"I asked him how to get out, he didn't answer so i snapped his neck." Aleks said. "It was either I killed him or let him suffer and die." Borris simply smiled at the boy's skill. A perfect aim, strong stance and isn't afraid to end a life if necessary.
"Aleks, will you join us as solder in the Rebellion? Borris asked. Aleks nodded. He was young but he wanted to fight and be a Rebel instead of a Runner. They went back up into the tent but heard footstep approaching. Sly entered and panted.
"Sir... We have... Two problems... Fight and... Deadlox" he said between breaths. Aleks stepped out and saw someone holding Kevin back and someone else holding a half sack guy. The weird hybrid yelled at Kevin
"IT'S YOUR FUCKIN FAULT IM LIKE THIS!"
