I hopped into my car and pushed the keys into the keyhole with frustration. The happenings of the zoo had worn off whatever the good feeling I had felt that morning. My boss had put me on duty with the orangutans, who I'm almost positive have a mission to ruin my life. They're constantly throwing food and things of that sort at me. Their high pitched calls wear on my mind. But whatever, working with the animals at the zoo was worth it. Being able to hang with animals all day is better than being stick in a cubicle.

I cruised down the highway towards my home, which was only a few minutes from my job. Rain drizzled across the landscape, cascading the road with its slippery expanse. I see a tall, dark man on the side of the road, standing next to his charcoal grey Honda Ridgeline. His hood was up as he worked under the hood of the truck. I consider stopping to help, but I've never been much help with cars. Plus, the man had an almost eerie aura around him.

I drove past him, trying not to stare

as i had a great view of his long legs and gorgeous ass. I turned into my driveway to my country cottage and drove up to the front step of the house. Marissa was just stepping out of the door with a large suitcase, probably full of her obsessive shoe collection. She struggled to lift it higher than an inch off the ground. She was packing up for her flight to Switzerland on vacation, which was leaving that night.

"Yo Marissa! Need some help with that?" I called out. She smiled in gratitude as I took it out of her hands and hauled it to the her green Ford Fiesta. From my job, I had acquired biceps from carrying hay for the zebras.

I helped Marissa load the rest of her suitcases. I was somewhat sad to see her go, but I knew she would have fun. She was going with her boyfriend, Chris, who was from Switzerland.

"I'm gonna miss you so much Kitty! I really wish you would've been able to take off work to join us" Marissa exclaimed.

"Yeah I know. My boss is such a dick, I swear he must be going through a midlife crisis!" I laugh. We hug each other good bye and she drove off. I shed a few tears in the process as I walked back inside.
