As soon as Marissa left, I went to the comfort of my couch. I grabbed a bag of pretzels and watched The Notebook, crying my eyes out like any normal human would. My cat, Skye, was sitting on my lap. In the middle of the movie, my door bell rings.

'Who in the world could that be?' I think to myself. Usually, no one knocks on my door since the cottage is so far in the bush. I try to wipe away my tears and makeup as I rushed to the door, not pausing my movie. It was most likely some immature teens playing some game. I gasped in surprise as i swung open the door. I don't know if the movie affected my mind, but I was almost positive a gorgeous, male angel was at my door.

It was the man from the side of the road. All his mysteriousness seemed to disappear as I stared at him. His hair was plastered to his chiseled face from the rain. His eyelashes, shrouded in water, framed his deep blue eyes. His thin hoodie hugged his greatly shaped torso and his jeans, pulled down by the weight of the absorbed watering them, showed the Calvin Klein elastic of his boxers. I stared wide at him for a few moments before I realized I hadn't said anything.

"Oh, um, hello" I stuttered out. I couldn't get over the magnificence of his features.

"Hey. I was wondering if maybe you have a phone I can use." He spoke. Oh dear lord, he had a British accent too.

He grinned slightly as I was taken aback.

"Uh yeah of course! Here, come in. You must be freezing out there in the rain. Your clothes look, um, soaked." I managed to get out as I held the door open for him. He stepped in and I turned around to grab the phone.

When I turned the corner, I took a moment to reassemble myself. 'He probably thinks I'm insane' I think to myself. I curse under my breath as I see my reflection in a window. My makeup left streaks down my cheeks and my hair was frizzy. I quickly tried to comb it as I reached for the phone.

When I came back to the front door, the man smiled at me. I swear he could hear my heart flutter as I have him the phone. His fingers brushed mine as he reached out, causing all my inner organs to swoon. He smiled his gratitude as he began to dial.

I turned the corner of my house to give him privacy and tried to rearrange my mess of a face. My eyes were still red and puffy. I tried to wipe my fave down as I heard the man dial again, obviously reaching a voicemail on the first attempt. I attempted to compose myself as I leaned around the corner.

"Want a coffee or something?" I asked quietly. I tried not to look at him, because if I did I know I'll end up looking like an idiot as I check him out.

"Yes please. I like it black" he winked at me. I'm pretty sure I almost collapsed as my mind whirled. I scuttled to the kitchen before I made anymore of a fool of myself. I put a tab into my Tassimo and it started to brew. He was so dreamy. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so angelic. I leaned back on my counter and sighed heavily. If only Marissa was here to see him.
