"Is this the Processing Unit Cell of J.A.R.V.I.S, Seb?"
"Yes,Dia, this is room houses the directories and memory drives, so essentially, it's the C.P.U, let's go in, I'll show you the Core i5! and the vocal reception system!"
Sebastian said, opening the door to J.A.R.V.I.S' brain. As he did so, he realised he had fiercely guarded the room and let no one even tread close to it, yet he found it revolting to deny her entry. He just couldn't. It had been a little around 10 days when Dia, short for Diana Dela Muertos, had entered his life. Her glimpse knocked his spectral socks off, and thus, he aimed to ne the first wraith with a wife. But that was quite a long time away, he thought.
"Is that the smell of avian excrement? Ugh!" She said, holding her breath, and signalling Seb out.
"Unfortunately, this is also the room that saw me languish in an avian body!" They shared a laugh.
"This base if filled to the brim with love-birds, isn't it? You two here, Mike and Annie in the dojo, you all need to go somewhere more private!" A playful voice teased. It was Law, Diana's step brother, and that happened to be why Sebastian couldn't return a verbal retaliation.
"Ahem, No, I was merely.."
"It's okay, Seb, we don't have to explain ourselves to him! And yes, we will go somewhere which has more privacy. Actually, anywhere without you, Brother dear!" Dia retorted, dragging Seb away from Law and his smirk.
"I hope you didn't mind him, Seb, he's always like that, don't take him seriously"
"Seriously? I enjoyed him saying that! If only you knew!" Sebastian thought, before saying:
"No, it's alright, I don't mind."
"Let's go talk to Mike and Annie about the attack we'll be mounting on the Transmute camp, we need to get all the loose ends tied up, right?"
"Precisely, I was going to suggest that myself. Let's." Seb said, as they walked to the meeting room.
"After you!" He said holding the door open, showing a rare sign of chivalry.
"Haha, thanks! Hey! You're both already here! Is the game plan all set?"
"Yes. At dawn, we attack." Mike said, film hero style.
"Yeah, I'm gonna need a little more details, Mike."
"I was kidding, Seb, anyway, I was thinking about this, why don't we put together a droid with all the spare parts we salvaged in the previous battles, and then install J.A.R.V.I.S' AI in it, then we could use it as a distraction, or if everything goes without a hitch, neutralise the whole camp?"
"Good idea. I'll put it together in no time at all, Mike, give me a hand, let's go!"
"Yeah, you boys do that, we'll both have a girl talk in the meanwhile."
"What do you think they're talking about, Seb?" Mike asked, picking up a Bofor's gun.
"Probably calculating the time of sunrise, we attack on dawn, right? or maybe they're calculating the probability of a goofy transmute stepping on their own landmine and blowing themselves up, thus nullifying our need to even stage an attack?"
"I HAD to ask you, huh. I thought you'd be interested in Dia...I mean in what Dia and Annie are talking about.."
"I think that was rhetorical, but I'm not going to bother, we have an android to build, let's begin."
"Yeah, I get it, less talk, more rock!"
"What are we in, the stone age? Less talk, more welding steel and installing weapon caches."
"You don't get slangs, do you?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So...don't tell me you haven't realised, obviously, Sebastian's interested in you." Annie asked, straight to the point being her trademark.
"Well, It's hard not to realise, I mean, it is so obvious...." They're "girl talk" was interrupted by the door opening, and Law falling in.
"Very funny, Law, spying on us?" I know you're just 16, but come on!"
"I..I was curious! It'n natural, and I'm going, bye!"
" I don't know when he'll show some sense." Dia said, shaking her head."
"No changing subjects, Dia! Answer me!"
"Well..."
"Is that a blush?!" Annie laughed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Okay, everyone hiding in the foliage?" Seb whispered, as he and his posse began the first phase of their attack on the Transmute checkpoint dangerously close to their own base, thus making it's neutralisation necessary. The sun hadn't yet crossed the horizon, but atmospheric refraction allowed the first sun rays fall on the gang all prepped up, taking cover in the dense shrubbery around the enemy camp.
"Yes, deploy Android." Dia replied.
"Activating video streaming from Android. We have visual, Seb."
"Setting Android to terminate mode. Targets will be eliminated on the basis of their DNA composition."
"And since it is rigged with explosives, any fatal damage to it's chassey will result in a self-destruct sequence." Annie continued.
"I'm a genius, aren't I?" Seb joked. And then he flinched as he heard machine gun fire.
"Let's fall back a little, I think the self-destruct sequence in going to take place a little sooner than expected, retreat to a safer distance!" Mike alerted.
All 4 of them started sprinting towards the base, in an attempt to get away from the blast radius. Seb felt the ground underneath him crumbling. "I'm supposed to be repelling the charge in the ground, I shouldn't even FEEL the ground!" He looked down, and then it struck him.
"PITFALL TRAPS! EVERYONE, TREAD CAREFULLY!" Seb shouted, falling into a huge pit. And then the explosives in the android went off, and the shock waves knocked everyone off their feet. Except Seb, who was already off his feet, lying under 2 feet of soil.
"Crap, they predicted an attack! They saw right through our attack!!" Seb spoke to himself, clearing his eyes, which were adusting to the change in light.
"Seb! HEY SEB! Would you like some help getting out of there?"
"Oh, NO! I can get out of here ALL BY MYSELF!"
"Sounds like sar-chasm to me!" Annie said, prompting Dia and Mike to laugh as well.
"Humph."
"Oh, shit, wait, a couple of Transmute survived, stay put, Seb, we'll get.."
"Oh no!"
"Seb, they shot Mike! We're retreating!!"
"We can't leave Seb here!!" Diana argued. "I'm jumping in to the pit, I'd be a better help then, you get Mike to a medic! GO!"
