CHapTEr 15

(Ryder's POV)

 "There's no one here. I think were safe. Let them ou-, wait" i heard Kaden say. "What? What is it?" i said. "The back door is open aliitle and there is a impression in the pile of blood. First lets get jacey up to her room and  get our doctor to check her out, then i will check everything out. Theres probally fingerprints somewhere."

 "Boss what should we do with the families?" i heard Chase say into the earpiece and he snuck a look at the familys that were behind us.

"It's almost mornig so they can go back to their rooms or go throught the backstairs and go and sit in the living room or kitchen. But these main stairs and all the way to the back door is off limits." "Copy that" we all said.

I holstered my gun and heard the others do the same. I went to the door and unlocked it and i heard the click from the other side, meaning it was unlocked. I opened the door and saw Cam and Aaron at the door. I looked back at the families what they were to do and told them where to go and where not to go. Everyone went to their rooms to go and change. It was decided that everyone was going to go downstairs and have a early breakfast.

Once everyone went downstairs i saw the doctor come down the back stairs with a puzzled look. I went over to him and asked him whats puzzling him.

"When was the last time someone saw her eat or drink something? She passed out because she was dehydrated and over hungry, also there was something else in her blood, but i dont know what it is. I will have to get it over to the lab right away. I put a line on her that is hydrating her and also another one that is giving her nutrients. I cant be here right now because i have to get that sample over to the lab before it dissapeaars in her blood. Someone will have to monitor her while im gone." "I'll do it, dont worry. Just do what you have to doc". With that he quickly exited the house and probally back to HQ where the lab was.

 I headed upstairs and went into Jaceys room. Adrian was sitting on a chair and had levi in his arms. All three of them were asleep so i put blankets on all of them. I sat on another chair and stared at the wall. They have been through so much especially Jacey. I couldnt imagine losing my parents and fiance in the matter of a few days, plus getting shot, taking on the task of watching 5 families plus guests, and handling a job. Man Jacey does alot.

 "How long have i been out of it" i heard Jacey ask. "We dont know, Liams mom found you at the bottom of the stairs in a pile of blood and screamed. We have all been up since. The back door was opened and there was an impression in the pile of your blood. Doc took a sample of your blood and he is checking it out at the lab. Kaden has the forensic team down there searching for anything that could be useful." i whispered because i didnt want to wake up adrian or levi. They had a rough morning. We all did. 

"Can you send Liams mother up. I would like to ensure her that i am fine. Maybe we should put adrian and levi back to sleep" Jacey whispered. I nodded and relayed her message through the earpiece. I placed levi in jaceys arms while i picked up adrian and brought him to his room and tucked him in. He needs his sleep. I was just walking back to jaceys room when i saw hayden bringing up liams mother. I nodded at them and walked back into jaceys room with them right behind me.

Liams mother and jacey talked for a while and with much argueing from all of us we let her walk down the stairs with use close by. Adrian had woken up alittle while ago and had come and check on his sister then took levi downstairs where he would be fed.

Everyone gathered in the kitchen where people sat on chairs or on someones lap or just stood around, Jacey had a blanket wrapped around her and was sitting on the counter. I had told everyone earlier about jacey not eating or drinking. Kaden was currently trying to shove a cup of juice down jaceys throat. "No kaden im not thirsty" "Jacey Mia Callaway drink this right now" She jumped off the counter " NO. I am tired of being treated like a baby around here." She grabbed levi and walked quickly up the stairs.

Everyone stayed silent and then i heard footsteps coming down the stairs in a pair of black spandex short shorts and a pink tank top on. She grabbed levis foldable stroller out of the closet by the door and she carefully placed levi inside and put a blanket over him and put his diaper bag in the bottom compartment. "im talking levi out on my run. I'll be back later."

Before anyone could stop her she ran out the door and was on her way.
