I was shocked to see him here. And what shocked me even more was that Marilyn was perfectly calm about the whole situation, she didn't run around screaming, "GD! Oh my god it's GD!" Like I thought she would. She was perfectly calm about everything.
Honestly, it kind of scared me.
"Jiyong? What are you doing here?" I asked as I was about to sit next to Marilyn until Katelynn was already sitting there, so I took a seat next to Jiyong instead.
He took a sip from the cup he was drinking from then replied, "I wanted to get some coffee, but then your friend noticed me an-"
"Sh! Sh, um," Marilyn stuttered to get the words out, "he noticed me and asked if I was your friend and I said yes and he wanted to wait for you and now here we are!" She spat out throwing 'and's into her sentence.
I gave her a stare and turned to Jiyong, then back at Marilyn, "He's never seen you before." I smiled at her, proving her statement to be wrong, "keep going with your story, Jiyong." I said raising an eyebrow at him wanting to hear the actual thing of what had happened.
"Like I said, she noticed me and whispered 'oh my god it's GD.'" I looked towards Marilyn and squinted my eyes at her, she only hid behind her hands, her ears turning red. I turned back to Jiyong so he could keep going with his story.
"But it was more like a mumble, as if she didn't want me to hear, so I turned around and said 'yeah it's me' and smiled." I looked at Marilyn from the corner of my eye and her head was now on the table, her arms covering any part of her face.
"Then she had a realization moment that I had heard what she said and went 'oh'. She also had noticed that I had dropped you off that one day and asked if I was your friend." I nodded slowly, trying to comprehend what she was trying to do before I had gotten here.
"I said yes and she invited me to sit with you guys." He finished, smiling and bringing his right hand up, drinking his coffee.
I was contemplating if she had wanted to do something with him. Maybe because he was "GD" she wanted to be seen with him. But then again I told her to not be so over the top about it, or as she puts it, "low key."
"Eh? That's pretty amazing G!" Marilyn said as her voice flowed with admiration as she was lost in her own little world. She was a fan girl, an expert at that; she was screaming internally even if she was calm externally.
"Young and rich, that's the life." Katelynn silently said for only Marilyn to hear; but honestly she was fairly loud for Jiyong and I to have heard her.
I gave her a scowl that made her furrow her eyebrows in confusion. She had finally realized what it was about, "ah, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to-"
"No that's okay. I hear that a lot," he responded softly smiling at her.
The tension in the air thickened and it was awkward. I was surprised Jiyong stayed here for this long. Didn't he need to do something for. . . Big Explosion? Bug Bang? Big Boom? I got up and left the area, the name of the band he's in bugging me to figure it out.
"Eh?! [f/n]! Where are you going?!" Marilyn shouted from where she and the other two remained seated.
Did I dare look back and have everyone know that she was looking at me? I didn't want anyone to know that she was referring to me, because she made most of the café quiet in seconds. But alas, I did look back at her, my eyebrows furrowed and raised, my expression reading "you couldn't be any louder could you?"
"A-ha.. Sorry," she apologized as she got out of the booth, Jiyong and Katelynn following behind her.
I responded with a mere hum and continued walking outside. I heard shuffling but ignored it, then a figure was next to me.
"You look pretty annoyed GD is here with us. Are you?" Asked Katelynn keeping her voice low so the others wouldn't hear, especially Jiyong, or Marilyn.
"No, why would I be annoyed? I'm just curious." I responded bringing my hands together, rubbing them to try and get warmth.
"Curious of what?" She asked as she looked behind us to see the other two still tagging along.
"On why-"
"Yo, jagiya." I blinked multiple times. Did I hear incorrectly? Did someone just use a cute nickname for me?
"Jagiya."
Katelynn was surprised as well, she just stood there as I kept walking my cheeks warming practically my whole body. I bit my bottom lip, growing embarrassed and nervous if I was the one being called that.
I could hear Marilyn heavily breathing.
Then a hand was placed on my shoulder, turning me around. "I'm not your jagiya, Jiyong." I replied trying to be confident, even if my blushing had sold me out, which really didn't work.
He acted as if he was upset but made it playful, he hunched over and gave me a playful pout, "but jagi-"
"Aren't you afraid someone might hear you say jagiya and get the wrong information then the whole press will be on you?" I said looking up at him he dyed hair fading from its blonde color.
He didn't say anything, instead he brought up his thumb to his upper lip, "I didn't think of that." He whispers.
I raised an eyebrow and rolled my lips in. I wonder how many rumors were about him online because he was so careless as he was not too long ago.
I brought my finger up to say something only to be interrupted by the sound of a cell phone ringing.
"Hello?" Jiyong answers the phone turning his back to me.
He wasn't really "speaking" he was humming his yes' or no's. It seemed as if the call had bored him right when he had answered it.
He hung up and stretched while he turned around to the three of us, a slight frown forming on his lips, "I have to go to the studio," he said as he put his hands in his pockets, "see you guys later!" He finishes as he waves bye, his frown replaced by his wide smile.
We all waved back, "he called you his girlfriend!" Marilyn exclaimed as she jumped around, Jiyong out of perspective.
"It's not really claiming me as a girlfriend Marilyn." I replied trying to calm her down while slightly backing away.
"Doesn't matter! It still happened!" She said as she got closer to me, placing her hands on my shoulders, practically shaking the life out of me.
"Ka-Katelynn help me!" I say as I look over to her.
