♡JESSICA

It's been a week and being home alone sucks. But today I was excited because it was my first race on the street. Uncle J convinced my parents to let me do it. My mom taught me, she's the best. What could I say? So I was pumped for that. I love my parents they let me have all freedom I wanted, respectfully though. Maybe because they understand or because my parents were badasses. They still are. Noah and I talked after what happened and we're still in the friend zone I guess. I mean we've kissed many times but I guess it means nothing. The worse part is, is that the spark that used to be between me and Ruben has been relighted.

I went down to The Garge so Kaylee can fire it up for tonight. She was fixing the engine of my car. I sat on the counter as she fixed it.

"So what's up with you and that Nyle kid?" I ask her before drinking my bang.

"It's in the past he's my ex," She tells me while tightening a bolt. "What's up with you and Ruben? You guys always seem to be fighting," She shoots back.

"He's my ex, it's complicated. But he cheated on me so we're enemies," I said as she nods in understanding like she knew the pain.

"Did you see the new kid, I think his name was Danny?" She asked me as she wipes her hands with a rag.

"Yeah, he's been with Annette recently like a lot," I tell her.

"I know right, I just hope he doesn't hurt her like the other dumba*s did." She sighs.

"Now that was pretty fucked up what Tyler did to her," I tell her. "Tell me about it," She mumbles in agreement.

"Is it weird to fall for your ex?" I blurt out randomly.

"To be honest, I don't know." She sighs looking at me. I sigh and look at my phone for the time.

"Are you and Annette coming to my race tonight?"

"Hell yeah! Wouldn't miss it for the world babe." She says and I laugh.

"We should take our cars together," I tell her and she agreed.

I was at Kaylee's house and I met her parents. They were pretty chill. Kaylee picked out my outfit it was my black leather jacket, with black pants, black and white Converse, and my shirt was black and said 1989. My makeup was a smokey eye with dark red lipstick. We jumped into our cars together and drove off. I had my windows down as the wind blew my hair up. My adreline was pumping as I felt the excitement.

My first race here I come.
