A/N: So this is short. But it's just the right length in my opinion. Please comment and tell me what you think.

XOXO,

~Kate~

"This is amazing."

"Axel told us he got us an awesome gift."

"I never thought it'd happen so fast."

"An Alpha does have some sway."

"But this is big."

"I know--oh, look who's coming."

I turned my head so sharply it was as wonder I didn't get whiplash! The nurse came down the hallway holding something close to her chest. "You two must be the Chandler couple, yes?"

"Yes," I said too quickly, biting my lip. "Can-can I hold it?"

"You can hold him if you'd like," replied the nurse with a warm smile, handing me the blue bundle.

Chase grinned. He had been hoping for a boy but really any child would have done. We'd only been on the wait-list for about four months which was nothing  compared to the years that some had been on. But somehow Axel had made this happen. And I couldn't have thanked him enough. "He's so precious," I whispered, looking at the slumbering infant. "Thank you. Thank you so much!"

"Don't thank me yet, honey. We've got a lot of sleepless nights in our future."

"I don't even care," I murmured. "I love him so much already. What should we call him?"

"I like Jase. What do you think?"

"Baby Jase... Jase Chandler. It sounds just perfect," I murmured placing a delicate kiss to his teeny forehead. "Nothing could make this moment more perfect."

"Not even knowing your book was published?"

My eyes widened and I spun to look at him. "What?"

What had started as a curious research attempt I'd done had turned into a full fledged book into the past treatments of omegas and the uneven power exchanges within packs. It had been Chase who propped the killer title: From Alpha to Omega; A History in Unjust Power Exchanges in the Current Pack Hierarchy. It was a silly thing but I'd come to really devote myself to it and I was quite proud of what it had become. I never dreamed it'd actually be published--the ideas in it were quite radical. "You're an author baby. It's got some raving reviews already by a some scholarly types who read it."

I felt tears run down my cheeks.

Never had I imagined my life would transcend to these levels. I had gone from a broken home to a broken relationship. Then Chase came into my life and he saved me. Now I was a parent, a husband, a mate, and now even an author.

This was it. My happy ending.
