Sitting on a bar stool dressed in a pair of joggers and and tank top and jordans. Latoya Jackson twirled her straw in drink. Facing the sea of people who formed a large crowds at Venus restaurant and bar.  She was scanning the cowrd looking for one particle person.

A man she hadn't seen in ages. A man she never thought she would ask for his help again, that man was none other than Vince Carlson, a man who never brought good things to the table. He was the type of person father's warned their daughters to stay away from.

Vince Carlson walked in the busy bar at 6pm according to the gold watch that was strapped to his wrist. He search the sea of people for a particular dark skinned girl. The girl whose touch he craved, the girl who haunted his dreams in the night. Latoya was the woman he wanted to be his wife but she never saw Vince like that.

To her Vince was more of a body guard or a brother some one who fight her fights when needed. The day Vince confessed his undying love for Toya the only thing she did was laugh. She laugh in his face and poor Vince was heart broken but that was ages ago;  years when Vince was just a simple love struck teenager. Now, four and half years later you looking at a different man. Not one who run the drug  game. That was in the past.

Vince fixed his suit jacket and walked in the bar tightly holding his briefcase. After years of smoking and selling drugs he gave that life up and turned a new leaf. He now works as a defense attorney and is happily married with his first child in the way.

Making his way to the bar he came face to face with the woman who had broken his heart, she wore a shock looked on her face.
"Vince Carlson,is that you".

Vince only nodded and signal the bartender. He placed his order and sitting beside Toya on a stool." You look different "she told him.
" I feel different " he told her sipping his drink.

She scanned his appearance again this couldn't be the same man who confessed his love for her, this couldn't be the ruthless Vince who didn't care a shit what anyone thinks of him."how are you Vince".

A deep chuckle escaped from as he placed his glass down,"you didn't call me here to catch up like we're buddies when you and both know we're not" he said his voice was a bit cold. Toya looked at him wide eyed.

"Now am going to ask you why did you call me, last time I remember you refuse to marry me".

"You cannot still be holding that against me" Toya said sipping her drink.

He smirked at her and leaned a little closer where she could smell his cologne but she couldn't make out the brand. "The old Vince wouldn't but the new me would, am over that." He laughed as he continued "what's funny is that you told me that you never in your life call me again but here we are sitting face to face again".

"Look Vince, I know am the last person you want to see right now but I need your help".

"What kind of help. You need money, a place to stay. A job".

Shakes her head" none of the above". Vince looked at her then signal the bartender again ordering another drink for both of them.  Three drinks later Vince sat there listening to Toya rant on and on about a girl who life he made miserable during highschool.

"Look,Toya can't do this as much I would like to help you for old time sake I can't cause for 1: am a lawyer and 2:am a change man. There is no way am I going to jeopardize my career for some dumb ass highschool drama, grow the fuck up Latoya" he drank the remaining contents from his glass and walked out the bar leaving Toya sulking.

"Do you think Mama is going to forgive for bringing her here" Dre said as he and Queenie sat in his Porsche sharing a blunt.
Passing the blunt to her brother she said"Mama needs to forget the past and move the fuck on, no need to dwell on the mistakes she made, yeah we all make mistakes and Stasi was young and dumb but say what she still family. Look what happen to Aunt Agnes she refused to see her son when he went to jail but when he died she was front and center bawling her eyes out and asking why did God take him".

Dre only nodded, couldn't believe his Mama turned her back on his sister yet again. Yes she made some bad choices in life and is now regretting it but she is still her daughter no matter what. He too made some dumb mistakes but she didn't do him like she did Stasi. Maybe it was something deeper between the two; something more she wasn't showing.

"Did Mama and Stasi had fights back then?" Dre asked out of the blue  Queenie looked at him and said" not that I know of Mama always kept her feelings bottled up, why you asked though".

"I don't know it seems that Mama and Stasi relationship can be more than what she letting of, I mean look at me; right after college I started selling drugs and running the streets and partying every night but she didn't kick me out and then there is you, the girl who got pregnant right out of highschool but lost her baby at birth and she didn't kick you out. So my question is why did Mama kick our sister out..

Queenie looked at her brother she was lost for words cause he had a point why did there mother kick her out when she needed her the most.....
