Chapter 13

Cresta's POV

Wake up! We gotta go....explore new thi-

"Shut up Crescent. Not in the mood."

Where's that locket you found?

"In my room. Why do you ask?"

I want to see it. Can you go get it?

"Okay fine. Whatever this is it has to be better than sleeping."

I sit up on the hospital bed. I am dressed in a hospital gown and tons of blankets drag over me. My hair is clean and my wounds are healed. I examine my stomach and the skin is healed, only leaving a scar. I guess this new stuff in me really does the trick. I feel great! I hop off the bed and on my bed table lays a note.

Cresta-

          Didnt know when you were going to wake up. The nurses tended to you and from what they said you should be better when you wake. Luna saw the condition of your room and decided to give you a better one. I put a surprise on your bed.  Speaking of suprise, Annabeth is healthy all cuts and bruises healed. Your sister is enrolled in school learning the ways of the wolves. We will wait awhile before we change her into a wolf. I hope that's okay. Congratulations on your emancipation. See you soon. If you ever need me I will be in my room. Or training.

His handwriting is very neat and the curves of his signature is soft and swift, I like it. Crescent speaks up.

Come on! He says.

"Hold on. Im doing something important."

Fine. But what I'm saying is a lot more important. Trust me. Go get that locket and open it!

"Fine. I will in a minute."

I remember his strong hands and fierce smile and I feel really warm inside. I have never felt this way before, its too bad my brother is in the way right now....

Stop daydreaming about that boy. Hurry up.

"Shut up." I laugh and I slide off the bed. I see some clothes and I slip them on. It is a pair of jeans, a blue cotton shirt, socks and shoes. I pull the curtain and standing there is Adam.

"Hey, feeling better?" He has a smirk on his face and his dimple is adorable.

"Yeah! I feel great. Thanks... For caring." I lower my head.

"It's my honor. And don't be sad. I have a surprise later."

"I look forward to it." I smile and he smiles.

Across the room, Chase smiles and yells at Adam.

"Adam! Hurry up, this paper won't sign itself!" He looks angry.

"Hold on a second. Me and Cresta are talking." He shoots an angrier look at him.

"Okay fine." He leaves the room.

"So be ready at... Let's say 6?" His dark brown eyes glare.

"Sounds good!" I smile and Adam turns to leave.

I'm so excited, could this be a possible date?

"And yes, it is a date." He laughs and I remember that I can mind-link. I blush profusely.

I start to giggle and hide my face.

"It's okay, don't worry about it." He smiled for what seems the millionth time and kisses my cheek. He turns around and leaves the room.

Seriously? Doing all of this lovey-dovey stuff? Get the locket, it's important, no excuses.

"Fine. Let's go."

He spoiled the moment. It was a blissful moment and my first. Why can't he just stay out of it?

I enter my old room and take all of my possessions to the new one. The new room is even bigger than the last. The bed is canopied and the closet is huge. I have a bathroom to myself and Annabeth can have her own little space. I put everything in its rightful place and walk toward the bed. Just like the note said, a large gift is on my bed. The wrapping paper is pink and blue, my favorite colors. I unravel the bow and lift the paper. Laying at the bottom, a beautiful blue dress, earrings and shoes are addressed to me. The dress is perfect. It's laced to the neck and is totally my style. The earrings are diamond and the shoes are..shoes. I like it. I can't wait for tonight. It's just so surreal.

Hate to interrupt your moment but can you-

"I know, I know. 'Open the locket'"

I lightly place the dress on the bed and gaze over my shoulder. The locket is where I left it, on the closet counter. I walk to the closet and pick it up. It still has the gold finish and I open it. It's empty.

"What kind of trick is this?"

None, I swear! Just think of Mom and Dad. Think of me.

"Okay."
