Chapter 15

[two weeks later]

Cresta POV

Adam and me are so close now. I can feel what he feels and I know what he's thinking. The only fault is, he's so busy. Alpha Alyx is bound (he's getting too old, probably) to give his position to Chase, and Adam will more than likely be his Beta. After all, they are best friends and 'adopted' brothers. Katherine took in Adam for some reason, I don't know. I still don't get this whole government system they have here.

*its technically not a government but a ruling class of separate groups. For all of them that are more than likely in the woods. And have strange abilities to turn into mutant dogs.

"Thanks, that was very informative. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to find Adam. My Mate."

*Whatever, have fun with your lovey-dovey stuff.

I walk upstairs into the offices. Where are you? I mindlink, he responds immediately.

Outside. I will be home in a while. Relax.

I walk to the garden and sit on a bench. I continue to think about the dream I had a couple of weeks ago. What or who is that demon? It doesn't look familiar, a winged demon. The closest I've killed in my experience is an Agronmon demon, it looks like a bat with fur, wings the creature can't fly with. I know they speak some kind of language on their own, but what did it say? What did it mean? Could it have something to deal with the curse?

*Chill out, sister. You worry too damn much.

"I have a reason, brother." I retort. "I have to know."

*You're acting like a sissy, speaking of, how is our little Annabeth?

"I don't know, she's always busy! She's in 'Wolfie School', remember?"

"Hey." Adam, he's back. (Silently screaming internally)

"Hey, where have you been?" I run up to him and he gives me a hug.

"Seems like forever, Mate." He gives a crooked smile and chuckles. (A man giggle)

"An eternity, sure." I giggle. He comes up behind me and bear hugs me.

*This is new, huh?

"Yeah. It's nice." I'm over his shoulder now.

"Your brother?" He asks.

"Yeah." 

He chuckles. "Wanna......fight?"

"Hell yes!" I jump up and down.

"Wolf or Human?" He asks.

"My way."

"Wha-" I swiftly jump and pin him to the ground.

"What the hell?" He stands back up and grabs my hand, pulls me off the ground. "What way was.... that?!"

"The way I was raised." I hug him. "Is that okay?" Just thinking, Shadowhunters had to kill werewolves to protect humanity or the mundane world.

"No matter what, where or who you are in this world, I love you."
