"I found another one," Julia called quietly to the others. "It's a woman."

"Oh my gosh!" Katrina exclaimed. "There is a child with her!"

Olivia came over quickly. Her eyes widened, "the child still lives!"

"Hurry! Get her out of there," Lloyd commanded.

Noah ran over quickly and lifted the boulder from the child. The mother had shielded the child from death but had met death herself. The child was unconscious. Olivia check for any broken bones before moving her. When she was satisfied that there was none, they lifted her from the arms of her dead mother.

"Oh my!" Julia wailed. "The poor child!"

"She is an orphan," Devron said. "Her father was killed in an epidemic last summer. Her name is Anwen, meaning fair and beautiful."

"What will happen to her?" Julia asked.

"We will most likely foster her," Devron explained. "She is half Druid. Her father was a mortal."

"For right now," Olivia began. "It would be best to find a place to put the wounded so I can treat them."

"We can set up that huge army surplus tent that dad bought last year," Luke suggested.

"And you guys said it wouldn't be useful," Kai smirked.

"In normal life," Skylor said, "it wouldn't be."

"Since when are we ever normal!" Katrina said in exasperation.

"Shhhh!" Winston said. "I hear something."

"It's just me," Scott said behind him. Winston jumped.

"Don't do that!" Winston said. "You scared me."

"My, isn't someone jumpy," Scott smirked. "Shall we find out what did this?"

"That may prove difficult," Devron said. "The blast came from inside. This much damage would not be caused by a blast from outside."

"We have to get inside first," Lloyd explained to his brother/cousin.

"Ouch!" Haden yelped.

"What happened?" Aira asked worriedly.

"Something bit me!" Haden winced. "Was it a rattle snake?! Am I going to die?!"

"Dude," Noah said rolling his eyes. "It's a mosquito."

"You are as dramatic as your father," Aira sighed.

"Guys, I found Clouse," Cole yelled.

"What?! Where is he?!" Alita said trying to remain calm.

"Right here. I really can't tell if he is alive or dead," Cole said worriedly.

"Please be alive. Please be alive," Alita mumbled under her breath.

"He is alive," Olivia said after examining him.

"Thank The Lord!" Alita shouted with relief.

"He needs urgent medical attention," Olivia said. "Please move him into a shaded area until the tent is put up."

"Yes, ma'am," Jason said.

********************************

"Danielle," Riley said hoarsely.

There was no response.

"Danielle," Riley said again.

She groaned and opened her eyes. He sighed with relief. She tried to change positions but her bonds kept her from doing so.

"Don't move," Riley said gently. "It will just make the chaffing worse."

"Your hands are practically raw," Danielle said worriedly.

"I'm fine," he lied. "But I don't want this to happen to you. It's not fun."

"Quit talking!" A voice screeched from the other room.

They both became silent but didn't stop communicating with their eyes. They were soul mates. They could communicate very well just with gestures.

They both knew one thing. They needed to get out of here and get help.

*******************************

Jason dropped to the ground in sheer exhaustion. Everyone else was exhausted too but time was of the essence!

They had started working in shifts. Jason, Olivia, Cole, Natalie, Haden, Julia and Kyle were one shift. Winston, Lloyd, Kai, Skylor, and Xavier were a second. Katrina, Luke, Aira, Scott, and Alita were a third. Zane, Jay, Noah, Nya, and Devron were the fourth. And others showed up every now and then to help. Sometimes Garmadon would bring the younger kids to help.

So far they had found twelve dead and nine wounded. The healers had their hands full. Three of the wounded were now orphaned children.

With each new dead found, Devron looked more and more hopeless. That wasn't normal of him, but he was finding his friends and family dead or injured.

"We are almost through the rubble," Devron finally announced.

Everyone stopped short when they heard a child scream. They looked over to the bodies and saw the first child, Anwen, they found screaming over the body of her dead mother. She had to be merely seven years old. It was heart-rending. Julia and Aira rushed over to the child. She buried her head in Aira's shoulder and continued to sob.

At this point Devron lost it. His face darkened. He looked furious.

"Whoever did this will pay!" He boomed. His deep voice practically shook the earth.

"They will," Zane nodded.

"But this is our first priority," Jay said. The others nodded.

"Once this is cleared away, Scott can use his power to find the culprit or at least the weapon," Lloyd promised.

"Let's finish this," Devron growled darkly.
