Chapter Three-Fist Clenched
Ame's design.
---Ruby was annoyed. Well she was almost always annoyed for one reason or another. But this time she had a really valed reason. She was in a group with Sapphire, and Pearl and Lapis. Lapis she didn't really know, but she still didn't like Sapphire.
And her girlfriend wasn't helping anything, she was blabbing on in her ear. Ruby really didn't care about what she had to say. She never really said anything worth listening to, its all; "Blah broke up with blah" and "blah is such a fucking slut, she hooked up blah." Its like Ruby gave a shit.
"Can you stop talking for a second?" Ruby sighed, raising her hand. Emerald looked flabbergasted.
"What?" She said in a high pitched voice. She stopped walking.
Ruby sighed, "I'm just tired and I don't care about your drama."
Emerald huffed and stormed off. Ruby sighed again. At least she wasn't talking anymore. Ruby turned the other way to avoid crossing paths with Emerald again. She cut through the library go get to her locker faster.
She shoved her hands in her hoodie pockets and walked fast. She didn't want to be in seen in such a quiet and nerdy place. She had her head down, but looked up for a second. She locked eyes with Sapphire (well eye to bangs).
Ruby wanted to look down, but she was noticing Sapphire in a different light. She noticed the way her light blue hair shimmed down to her waist, poofing out at the bottom. She saw her lips, how plump they were. Her cute skirt and how it fluffed out at her hips.
Wait, cute? No, she did not think that Sapphire Wind was cute. That's absurd. It's probably just the migraine she has right now. So she, face bright red, tucked her head down and walked even faster.
She got out and ran to her locker. She was trying to clear her mind from those ridiculous thoughts of Sapphire. She opened her locker and grabbed a bag of chips and a coke, slamming her locker shut. She locked it back up and walked over to Amethyst's locker. She was grabbing her lunch and a sweater.
"Hey," Ruby said slamming herself onto the locker besides her. Amethyst looked up.
"Hey," she said. She looked at Ruby for a second longer, her eyes narrowing in thought, "why are you so red?" She said turning her head and reaching back in her locker.
"I am not red," Ruby said, her face slowly becoming a deeper blush.
Amethyst snapped her head quickly back towards Ruby. She turned away just as quickly as she had looked, "You're even redder now. Who is it? What did Emerald do?" She said waging her eyebrows.
"No, she was just being a gossipy bitch like always," Ruby grumbled.
"So who was it then?" Amethyst asked standing up properly. She had a giant smirk on her mouth.
"No one, I'm just naturally red, ok?" Ruby was getting annoyed, "Lets just go," She said pulling her out of her locker. Amethyst laughed and slammed it shut. They started walking to the cafeteria. Ruby was walking fast in her fit of annoyed furry.
They got to the Cafeteria and looked for Jasper. She usually sat at the corner table, but she sometimes liked to switch it up. But not today. There she was sitting down at their normal table, scarfing down god knows what. Milky had her head down looking on her phone. Milky was a weird character. The strong silent type. Even though Jasper liked those who talked with her, she still likes Milky's company.
Ruby started walking over to the table, slowing her pace to match Amethyst's. "You know, if there is something going on with Emerald, you can tell me," Amethyst glanced over to Ruby smiling. Amethyst wasn't really a compassionate person, but she had her moments. Ruby nodded. She didn't want to tell Amethyst what had made her red. Although she trusted Amethyst, it would mean she would have to admit it to herself that she found Sapphire Wind, cute. Which was out of the question.
When they got there Amethyst sat next to Jasper and Ruby next to Milky. Ruby's face had gone down a few shades of red, but it was still clear that something had made her blush. Jasper snickered, "What's up with her?" She leaned over asking Amethyst. She made it loud enough that Ruby could hear.
Ruby rolled her eyes. Amethyst shrugged, actually trying to whisper, "I don't know, she didn't tell me." Jasper straightened, looking over at Ruby.
"What the fuck happened to you?" She said. She didn't really say it as a question and more like a demand.
Ruby shook her head in dismissal, "Nothing! Why do you guys keep asking me that? Nothing happened!" Ruby started getting defensive. Her face got hotter. She averted her eyes away from Jasper. Just for them to land on the exact person she didn't want to see. She saw the similar poofy blue-ish hair. She stayed staring for a second before looking down at her lunch.
"Something did happen!" Jasper said leaning forward on the table, "Did you finally say yes to doing it with Emerald?" Jasper asked, smirking. Ruby turned a brighter shade of red. She got a weird lumpy feeling in her stomach, she wanted to vomit.
"Hell no!" Ruby started shoving chips down her throat The three girls started to laugh. Jasper a large, huge laughter, Amethyst's and Milky's was more like a chuckle. Ruby slouched down in her chair. "Emerald was being a bitch today anyway," She muttered.
Only Milky heard her comment. She turned her head with her eyebrows raised. But quickly turned back to her phone. Ruby had hoped she won't say anything. These girls might be her friends but it doesn't mean they don't enjoy drama just as much as the next person. Ruby did her best to stay out of it as best she could, but being part of the most popular group and having one of the most gossipy girl as your date, drama tends to find her. But Milky didn't want drama either, they got enough without her eavesdropping.
The sound of heels clacking on the ground could be heard behind Ruby. Ruby knew it was someone from the 2nd group. She was hoping, praying that it wasn't Emerald. But she knew it wasn't when the girl with the heels walked right past her and sat her butt on the table space between Amethyst and Jasper, "Heeeey, girls." Pearl smiled coolly, focusing her eyes on Amethyst's dark ones.
"Hello, Pearl," They all said in sync. Followed by Jasper asking what she wanted.
"Oh?" She blushed, but got over it fast and looked over at Jasper, "Right, I'm having a party on Saturday. My parents are out this weekend, I just found out today, so I'm making sure people know. Invite whoever, but only a max of two people per person. As much as I want a big party I want it to be more chill, you know? I, for one, do not plan on letting or taking part of drugs in my home. So ya, its a 8." She kicked her legs and slid back down onto the ground. She smiled with a light blush on her face. She waved as she walked away.
"We're going, right?" Milky asked. Jasper looked at her and then at Amethyst. And sighed.
"Ya, we haven't gone to a chill party in a while. I want more of a spin the bottle, secret spilling kind of party," Jasper looked over at Ruby with her eyebrows raised.
Milky looked up from her phone and across the caf. Her eyes making contact with a certain girl. She went down to her phone again, fingers flying across the keyboard, "Who are we inviting?" She asked not looking up.
"I'm not inviting anyone. Are you?" Jasper asked tilting her head. Milky shrugged her shoulders. Trying to seem chill. Ruby rested her face on her hand. She sighed, Saturday was going to come much to quickly.
