Riza POV
Roy: Riza? Are you okay? You're being awfully quiet.
I shook my head and looked over at Roy as we drove on the deserted road, my hands squeezing the fabric of my jeans slightly, Roy looking at me as I did. My hair fell over my eyes and I lifted my head up to look at him, the cold cutting through my warm cheeks.
Me: It's just...What if we can't save her in time and we risk our lives for nothing? I know it sounds counter productive and all, but I don't want to die tonight Roy. I don't want to actually die.
Roy: Hey.
He pulled the car to a stop and I leaned forward, his arms wrapping around my body, pulling me into his chest over the center console, my eyes closing as he kissed my forehead, letting myself slip into his embrace. Pushing back my hair, he lifted up my chin to look into my eyes, his fingers brushing down my cheeks and I sighed, letting him feel my skin.
Roy: You aren't going to die and we're going to save Morgan. She's someone who brought us all together with Nate and if we hadn't become friends in the first place then where would we be now? You would be dead and everyone else would be stuck in the lives that we had before, making it impossible for us to ever meet.
Me: I know, but I don't want to loose anyone or you. You guys are people who I want to be around and I don't want to watch you guys be buried, for real.
Roy: And you won't because I promise you right here and now that I will come back alive with everyone, we will save Morgan, and you're going to stay safe. Please Riza. Let me make this promise to you.
Me: I do. I'll let you.
He pressed his lips against mine and I kissed him back, his head moving away from mine after a few moments, letting me go slowly, hands sliding down my arm.
Roy: I love you.
Me: I love you too.
I slid back into my seat and Roy started to drive again, catching up with the others as we stopped in front of the warehouse, Nate waiting for all of us to get out of the cars before he looked up at the door, his phone beeping in his pocket.
Nate: It's time. Let's go and get her.
We walked up to the door and he put his hand on the knob, swallowing the spit and bile that he held in his throat, all of us doing the same, pushing the door open, all of us walking inside the darkness of the warehouse, my hand reaching out for Roy's squeezing it for security.
Third Person POV
Ghoul: It looks like you finally showed up! Perfect timing!
Lights poured into the room, everyone on the floor raising their hands to protect their eyes from the blindness, letting them fall after they adjusted, Nate stepping forward and yelling, Ghoul watching from above.
Nate: Where are you? Where is Morgan?
Ghoul: Morgan? Oh yes! Here she is!
Clapping his hands, a single spotlight turned on and Morgan was lowered down from the ceiling, arms hanging above her head, gauze running up and down them, wrists tied together with rope, her body moving to break free from her bonds, screams echoing through the gag in her mouth, Nate gasping.
Riza: Let her go you sick bastard!
Ghoul: Oh, I wish I could, but you have something I want. Your lives!
He laughed as footsteps walked towards the five on the ground, their bodies moving closer together as three huge men walked towards them, faces covered in bloody bags, giant butcher knives in their hands, Morgan yelling from her position from the ceiling.
