Morgan POV

Ghoul: You aren't done here yet. I have use for you, but not when you're alive.

I let my hand fall to my side as he stepped closer to us, the others stopping behind us as he did, his red eyes staring at us intently, the madness in them starting to fill me with fear. Nate squeezed my shoulders and I looked up at him as he flinched, the blood dripping from his missing starting to get to his body, making me start to shake.

Me: You don't have to do this. We can leave here and pretend this never happened.

Ghoul: Oh no. There is no more time reasoning anymore. You lost that opportunity after you killed my men and leave me starving here, craving for your flesh inside my mouth, teeth grinding up your bones. You're making me hungry and if I can't kill you then I'll eat you alive!

He yelled and raced towards us, Nate pulling me into his arms before we fell backwards, Ghoul slamming his fist into the wall where we were, a groan leaving his mouth as he fell onto the belt below us, everyone yelling our names.

Ghoul: You're not getting away! Not so easily!

He jumped down and I grabbed Nate, picking us up, moving as fast as we could towards the other end of the belt, Nate cringing in pain next to me each time I felt his leg hit mine, the blood leaving a trail behind us. Ghoul race after us, screaming and yelling out to us, his snarls making me move faster, my legs giving out on me and we fell to the ground, Nate sliding away from me as I lay helpless, Ghoul grabbing my throat, lifting me in the air.

Ghoul: You've tried my patience for too long. It's time for me to feast on your...

???: Fire!

I felt his teeth skin my neck before he groaned in pain, my body falling to the floor as he groaned again, my head lifting to look up at bullets starting to spray all across his back, his body shaking before he fell to the floor limp, police officers and FBI Agents starting to rush inside the place, my head turning to look at Nate as I felt darkness start to consume my vision, screams and yells hitting my ears.

???: Get a doctor! We have two wounded here!

My body fell to the belt as I slipped away into unconsciousness, Nate's limp body the last thing I saw before my vision was engulfed with darkness.

Nate POV

???: He'll be okay, but he's lost a limb. The wound will heal, but his luck of walking again will be slim.

A voice hit my ears and I moved my head around, groaning softly as I opened my eyes slowly, footsteps moving towards me, blurry figures surrounding me. I blinked a few times before I turned my head, a oxygen drip going into my nose moving around as I did, Mark and Phoenix looking down at me with a smile on their faces.

Mark: Hey buddy. You okay?

Me: (Whispering) Hey guys. Where am I?

Phoenix: In the hospital. You took a beating, but don't worry, you're safe now and so is Morgan. You guys are safe.

I nodded my head slightly and blinked away, moving my head to look around at my position, drips in both of my arms, the leg that was cut off before wrapped in gauze, the pant leg rolled up to keep pressure off it.

Me: (Whispering) Can you help me sit up? I want to sit up.

Phoenix: Of course. Mark, can you help me?

He nodded and her hands turned my body straight, Mark pressing a button to push my the top half of my bed up, my head pressing against the pillow underneath it, Phoenix leaving the room for a moment as Mark pulled up a chair, sitting down next to me as a Doctor walked inside, a smile on his face.

Doctor: Nathan. It's good to see you awake. How do you feel?

Me: (Whispering) I feel fine, but I feel weak.

Doctor: Don't worry about it. You'll be back to normal soon enough, but for now I want to do a few tests before I can take you off the oxygen support. Do you mind?

I nodded and he walked up, turning my head to let me look at him, his fingers pressing against my wrists, looking at the watch on his left wrist, waiting a few moments before he nodded, his hand reaching up to pull the oxygen nose ring out, the white cord pulled from behind me and hooked back up to the tank next to me, his head nodding.

Doctor: You'll be able to breath on your own, but I'll have you back on it during the night in case things start to go haywire.

I nodded and lifted a hand up, pushing back my messy hair, someone knocking on the door again, my head turning to look at it as it opened, Phoenix sticking her head inside.

Phoenix: May we come back inside? I've brought a few friends.

Doctor: Of course. Anything for friends.

She smiled and opened the door, Roy and Riza walking inside first, Roy's hand wrapped up in a small bandage, Phoenix holding the door open as I heard crutches hit the floor, my body moving up slightly.

???: Is he awake?

Me: Morgan?

Her body moved into view and she looked at me as I sat up more, my heart monitor going crazy as my heart started to race, Morgan looking at me with a smile.

Me: You're okay. You're okay.

She moved inside and Phoenix closed the door, her crutches carrying her to the side of my bed, but my arms had to catch her as she fell towards the ground, everyone helping her in my bed, her bad leg lifted up on pillows.

Doctor: I'll leave you to it. I'll send some food down later on.

Me: (Whispering) Thank you.

He smiled and walked out of the room, Morgan reaching down to pull my pant leg down, the wrapped up leg underneath carefully covered in it, a sigh leaving her mouth.

Me: (Whispering) What's wrong?

Morgan: You lost this all for saving my life, but you could have run away. Why?

Me: (Whispering) That's my obvious answer right now Morgan. Because I love you and you're not going to be left to die because you say so. We stick together and always watch each others backs. That's all we need to do.

She smiled and pressed her forehead on my shoulder, my arm wrapping around her shoulder, everyone smiling around us, Phoenix pressing her head on Mark's shoulder and Riza kissing Roy's neck, her placed on the spot she kissed, the six of us happy.

Morgan: I feels good to be back together. We've been separated, but it's time we stay together. For good.

Everyone: Yeah.

We fell silent and let the air around us do the talking, our bodies finally relaxing after being tensed for so long, the area of peace surrounding us for good, nothing unable to ruin it.
