Third Person POV

Nate: Is it time yet?

Mark looked at the board in his hand and nodded, putting it down and pulling on his black hoodie, Nate pushing his bang back behind his ear, the black button down flannel top buttons being undone, everyone following him as he walked out on the stage, his prosthetic leg underneath his blue jeans. They spread out on the stands that Choir uses for shows, ear microphones pressed out over their ears, Nate looking down at the ground, faces straightening out.

Announcer: Parents and fellow classmates. It's been a whole year since the class of 2015 performed, but now, for their graduation present to you and me, I would like to present the class of 2015 singing a musical number complied by senior Nathan Smith.

Clapping echoed through everyone's ears as Nate heard the music start to play, his head lifting up slowly as the lights turned on around them, and lifted himself up, looking off into the crowd as he started to sing.

Nate:

Hello, it's me

I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet

To go over everything

They say that times supposed to heal ya

But I ain't done much healing

He looked down at the ground as a spotlight moved from him to Roy, his head lifting up as he ran a hand down his gel slick hair, his eyes staring off into the lights as he sang, people gasping as he did.

Roy:

Hello, can you hear me

I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be

When we were younger and free

I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet

Nate lifted his head up slightly and the two started to sing together, people starting to clap as they did, Nate unable to hold back emotions.

Both:

There's such a difference between us

And a million miles

Hello from the other side

I must have called a thousand times

To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done

But when I call you never seem to be home

They let out breaths as Nate moved across stage, the light following him until he reached a befallen Morgan, his hand pressing against her shoulder, head lifting to look up at his face, nodding her head as he sat down under her, Morgan standing up, taking over as Roy fell silent.

Morgan:

Hello from the outside

At least I can say that I've tried

To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart

But it don't matter clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

She fell to her knees as the light faded from her, Mark moving off stage as the light landed on him, his head lifting up slightly  to look at the crowd before looking across from him, Phoenix walking out from the opposite side, meeting him in the middle.

Mark:

Hello, how are you?

It's so typical of me to table about myself I'm sorry

I hope that you're well

Did you make you ever make it out of that town where nothing every happened
