Do You Love me? (Minseok)

It was a cloudy Monday morning as you rolled out of bed, dragging your feet across the chilly hardwood floors as you yanked a brush through your hair. Sighing as you aimlessly brushed your teeth and scrolled through Twitter, your best friend Minseok texted you. "Hey, want to hang out today?" You quickly texted back, "What would we do? The weather's so poopy..." He replied with three words... "It's a surprise." You rolled your eyes before tossing your phone on your bed and started to get ready. Pulling together your favorite outfit with your big maroon cardigan with black jeans and a loose grey t-shirt. Grabbing your purse as Minseok honked the horn from the driveway. Mumbling under your breath as you race around the house grabbing your things, "I'm coming, I'm coming... geez." As your flew out the door, you were greeted with a bright smile from Minseok.

Racing up to him you quickly pulled him into a tight hug smiling, "Hi baozai, I missed you." He smiled before replying back, "Eh, I guess I missed you too..." You couldn't contain your excitement as he pulled out of the driveway, "Minseok.. tell me where it is! where are we going... please please please, you know I can't deal with surprises well!" He stuck his tongue out teasing you, "Too bad my little marshmallow, it's a secret and you'll know when you get there." Frustrated and annoyed by not know ing where you were going to blasted BTS through the car, well aware of the fact that Minseok tended to get jealous every time you played their songs. He slammed the stereo off before turning back to focus on driving, "No. BTS. You know that."

Before you knew it you ended up in front of an old broken down school building. It hadn't dawned upon you on the car ride here that this was your old elementary school! Where you had first met Minseok in the first grade on your first day of school as a new student. You had anxiously waited in the principal's office frightened about being at a new school until Minseok had greeted you with his signature bright smile. Instantly comforting you. "HI! I'm Minseok, what's your name??" You looked straight at the crooked smiling boy in front of you and said, "I'm A/N, it's nice to meet you!" From that moment forward, you and Minseok had been best friends. Always playing with each other at the playground and chose each other as partners for every project. Even when you reached high school you managed to keep a close relationship, sometimes to the point where people mistaken you as a couple. It was always comfortable around him, you easily held hands together and gave each other kisses on the cheek. But all it was for you was a really strong friendship.

As the memories continued to flow as you walked closer and closer to the school you had forgotten about Minseok. Looking behind you frantically and searching all around the school yard you couldn't find him anywhere. "Minseok! BAOZAI! where are you!" You started to panic until you saw a small blue note laying in the dirt. "A/N, go to the place where we first met that day." Walking into the office you find another blue note laying upon the chair, "Good, now that you've found this... go to our favorite place." You racked through all your memories and remember where you and Minseok had always been, the library. It had been a sanctuary from all the loud noisy kids constantly mocking you two, so whenever you could you both raced to the back corner of the library where there were two beanbags and a colossal tower of books. Racing into the dusty library you immediately went to the back corner, where another blue note was.

Opening it you read, "Good, you still remember our little happy place. You have one more stop until you reach me. Let's see how long you take marshmallow. Where did I give you your first kiss?" You blush at the memory of when Minseok had first given you a kiss. It had been in the fifth grade after you big graduation ceremony. You had raced off together into the playground to avoid going home. You were aimlessly swinging on the swings will you watched Minseok dribble the basketball. As the sun started to set you both started walking towards home, hand in hand excitedly talking about middle school. Right before he dropped you off on your doorstep, Minseok had stopped you and looked you straight in the eyes before dropping a light kiss on your lips. You stared blankly at him as 11 year old Minseok raced down the street smiling and waving goodbye.

Running to your old house across the street you see Minseok sitting on the steps of your house... Nervously running his hands through his hair looking down the street hoping to see the one person he had given his heart to. When you finally stood in front of him, he carefully looked up, fear in his eyes. Fear of rejection, that the one who he had loved wouldn't love him back. Minseok carefully looked at you, "A/N, I can't believe I'm doing this... but after 16 years of knowing you... I can't deny the feelings I have. The way your eyes light up when you see me make my heart clench, when pull your head back as you laugh at my silly jokes, anything and everything you do just makes me fall in love with you that much more. I don't know how you feel about me, but I can't hide it anymore. I just want to ask...

Do you love me?

All you could do was stand there thinking back to all the memories you had with Minseok. The loving glances, the tight hugs, the perfectly interwoven hands... you finally realized, who would love you more than your best friend? Sitting him down on the steps, you turned to him and carefully touched his face and said, "Minseok, I don't know why I just realized this... but after these many years, I must have fallen in love with you without even knowing. So yes, I do love you... The way you never fail to make me smile, how you race to my house the minute I feel bad, when you are there to pick me up in my darkest times. You're there for me all the time. I don't know who else I could trust with my heart."

He jumped up from the stairs and raced around the street screaming, "SHE LOVES ME! AHHHH FINALLY." You giggle as he slowly runs to you. He swoops you into a big hug, swinging you around laughing with glee over finally getting the girl. "I finally get to have you ALL to myself, I can hug you and kiss you all I want. You're mine now."
