You're More than Enough (Chen)

It's 6pm and you nervously pace back in forth in front of the mirror looking at your reflection peering at every little flaw you saw.

"ohmygod why am I so ugly.. What is this." Groaning against your hands you tried to hide your face from the mirror, why am I so terrified to see Chen on this date.. We've had dates before but lord I look so awful. Grabbing at the fat on your side you clawed at it trying to will it away before Chen had to pick you up in thirty minutes. While you were self consciously picking at every little flaw on yourself you hadn't realized that Chen had walked in behind you. He sadly peered at his beautiful girl pulling at her non existent flaws trying to fix things that weren't there.

Quietly coming up behind you he wrapped his arms around you and sadly smiled at you, "Y/N, what's wrong...? Why are you standing here. I knocked ten times and just used my key to let myself in." Shrugging out of his grasp so he wouldn't feel the fat rolling over your hips you sat on the bed avoiding his eyes, "It's nothing Chen, don't worry about it."

Moving towards the bed Chen reached out to you, trying to comfort you. You quickly turned away from him, "Chen, I'm fine. Please."

"Y/N, you're clearly not. What's happening to you? Why won't you talk to me?"

You snapped at him, frustrated that you felt this way about yourself, "Chen I'm FINE!" Fleeing the room you tried to avoid confronting Chen over your insecurities. Yanking you back into the room, Chen forced you to look up at him. You could see flashes of anger in his eyes, concerned and worried about what was going on. His eyes softened when he saw tears brimming your eyes, "Chen I'm not pretty enough for you, do you not see that? Look at me! You're a celebrity, you shouldn't be dating me of all people please. It'll only hurt you." Crumpling to the floor as your legs gave out from under you and sobs racked through your body, "please, just... I can't. I never feel good enough in your arms and I can't endure this pain anymore."

Chen slowly sunk down to the floor with you, tearing up at his broken girlfriend laying in his lab sobbing over the miniscule insecurities that no one could see, all you could find was your bright smiling girlfriend that radiated like the sun, but the pain had broken her. Gone was your radiating girlfriend and here was the torn up shattered girl left before him. Hugging you tightly to his chest Chen sighed before comfortingly placing his hand on your head and lightly patting you, "Oh sweetie, why didn't you tell me... I can't believe you let yourself go through this alone. Why else am I here Y/N, I'm your boyfriend. You can come to me with anything, no matter the time. I'll drop everything to see you."

Sobbing into his comforting embrace you felt the heavy weight lift off of your shoulders, "Ch-Chen, I... I'm not good enough, how can you love every aspect of me.. And still manage to do so much for me. I'm so.. Broken. I can't do anything for you, you're always the one who's strong. I want you to be able to lean on me to, and I never let you do that."

"Oh Y/N, my sweet sweet Y/N, all you ever needed to do was come running to me smiling before hugging me tightly. It's the moments when I come home from a long concert trip to see you waving a sign welcoming home that made everything better. You don't need to cook me breakfast, you don't have to always be the strong one for me. It's enough that you're just here with me. I just need to see your smiling face everyday to make everything better. Just be here, don't do anything, just hold my hand and smile for me. Bring back my sweet girlfriend who did gags and danced around with me at home. Love yourself almost as much as I do."

Sniffling against his shoulder you pulled yourself away from his embrace and weakly smiled at him, "why are you everything I need Chen.. You just know what to say to me. I can't thank you enough. I'm always worried about whether or not I'm good enough for you, I've sat in front of the mirror for hours when you're at practice doing this.. It's happened too often. I'll try to be better especially when you love me so much."

Reaching for your hand, Chen carefully lifted you off the floor and tried away your tears before tucking you into the bed you shared and climbed in next you. Pulling you into his chest he comfortingly wrapped the comforter and then his arms around you before lightly kissing you on the forehead, "Never forget Y/N, I love you. I always will, don't you ever forget that."

Drowsily shaking your head off you slowly started to drift off to sleep, "I love you too Chen. With everything I am."
