GHOULS, A Sam And Colby supernatural fanfic

The female ghoul....

Colby parked the car somewhat near the driveway and although knowing that his dad would probably disagree with him, he barged into the Brock's residence, not caring whether anyone was on the other side of the door. The entire hall was streaming with bodies and literally everyone was talking at the top of their lungs.
'So much for privacy' he thought as he spotted his older brother Caprone among his older relatives, squeezing his way through. Caprone was every bit like Colby and although the two don't very much get along, they don't always brawl either. It felt like there was nothing left to fight for...
Caprone stumbled against a family's leg or arm and Colby laughed encouragingly.

"I hope that boy isn't with you, Colby", he said. Colby can never understand his brother's ways of addressing Sam as 'that boy' when they've been friends for the longest of times.
"There's something i have to tell you about Sam too", he admitted, remembering the 'accident'. "But don't worry, he's still in LA. In the hospital". The last part was hard to confess and the guilt was still raw and ugly inside of him. Colby noticed the disapproving way Caprone arched his eyebrows.
"What happened? It wasn't a-" he stopped, eyeing his brother. Then he gave the loudest sigh and dragged Colby by the sleeve, leading them upstairs. "Unbelievable!" He hissed, furious. "You can never get out of trouble, can you? And now you've pleasantly dragged your best friend into this mess!!"

"I DID NOT!"
"What would dad say? God Colby.....stop trying to-"
Angry and infuriated, Colby stopped walking which automatically stopped Caprone as well. He snatched his sleeve away and staggered back as Caprone watched with the grim expression he wore every time he saw the neighbor's dog pissing at their lawn.
"It was Rize!"
Caprone's eyes grew very big and now he wore his retreating face. "WHAT?" He was obviously angry. "Why the heck would you GET YOURSELF INVOLVED WITH HER!"
"I DIDNT!" Colby half yelled. An old relative looked up at the stairs and Caprone nudged him to keep walking. "She found me! She found us!! She got Sam into the hospital!"

Caprone sighed again but this time it seemed like a meditation. "How bad are his wounds?"
Colby stared at his sneakers. "Terrible!" His voice was very small. Caprone at least understood this. "His seatbelt broke, he smashed through the screen and could've died but my kagune caught him...he was bleeding everywhere, his head and OH GOD...he's face, Cap! It was smeared with it...."

"Colby!" A voice said behind the brothers and they spun as one, realizing that their father had been listening the whole time. Colby's voice broke.
"Hey...dad".
"It's your mom!"
Colby looked up, realizing for the first time that day on why the entire Brocks was gathered here. "Dad? Wha-what happened?" But the youngest of three brothers was already rushing into the dimly lit bedroom. His mom slept on the bed with an oxygen tank beside her and an oxygen mask covering her nose and mouth. Colby froze,

"Mom?"
"She was attacked!" His father's voice was brittle as he sat on the armchair. "Her kagune..." He went silent.
"DAD!" Colby tried to retain his emotions.
"The CCG's found her and stripped off her kagune!" This was Caprone, looking ready to box someone in the face. Colby's knuckles went white as he clenched his fingers tightly into a fist. "I mean, why would they attack ghouls like us when they're dozens out there...devouring humans right at this moment!!"

"Rumors are going on sayin' there's a new ghoul organization", the boys' father said, smoking his pipe. Colby's eyes narrowed. "Said it was called Aogiri Tree".
Colby's heart hitched inside as Rize's swaying purple hair and pretty blood soaked face came into his mind on the day of her attack.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?" Colby's ghoul kagune striked the woman...but as usual it missed to severely injure her. She only had to brush her arms and suck on her own wounds for them to heal within seconds. Colby was disgusted by this...
"RIZEEE!!" He screamed, his eyes changing into the ghoul's black and red, the veins around turning transparent. His kagune, which was a beast tail with sharp edges had already damaged the road and a few poles that had been standing a while ago. And yet the woman ghoul was still laughing historically, dodging his every blow.

"My, my", she observed her bloody dress and with a snicker, pushed her silky hair off her beautiful face. Colby can't help but stare at her, then with a leap he landed on her, crushing her body on the tiny rocks. He opened his mouth to bite her but then noticed that she smiling.
"Are you part of the Aogiri?"
Colby strangled her even further. "What?" He asked, his voice hoarse.

Rize grinned and her kagune ripped through the back of her body and she...being a ferocious Geito Ghoul pounced on Colby as easily as one would, crushing a worm. She bit through his shoulder in glee, spitting some of the remains out as the boy screamed in agony. His kagune swung to strike her hard by the side and she slammed against the billboards across the four way lane. Blood splattered the road as Colby made his way towards an unconscious and wounded Sam.
"Leaving already?" the woman called, walking unstably in her broken legs! her red four tail kagune was immense behind her and Colby had the grudging feeling that everything was bound to go downhill when a loud horn from the interstate caught his attention.

"No", he replied before appearing right in front of her with a speed to match an S-ranked ghoul. Rize's shocked expression turned into anger when he pushed her forcefully across the interstate, just in time for him to hear her yell a curse word before the lorry horned again and smashed her , creating a cascade of blood across his face and cloths and on the road. The lorry driver had got down, looking as if someone was holding a gun to his head but to his shock, there was nothing there but blood....the lady had disappeared and so did that other boy.....

"Colby!"
Colby blinked, shaking away the memories. "So...what do we do about the CCGs?"
Caprone slowly shook his head, grabbing Colby by the shoulders. He squeezed his little brother hoping that the pain can put some sense into his revengeful mind.
"Don't even think about it!"
"Bout what?", Colby asked, averting his gaze away from Caprone.
"Don't think you can manage on your own just cause you're an S-ranked and al that", Caprone said sternly. Their father watched...then turned away to stroke the mother's hair. "They'll KILL you!!"
When Colby refused to answer, Caprone insisted, "You got that?"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever..."

But it didn't felt right! His mother had been wrongfully accused of being a terrorizing ghoul and got her kagune ripped....a life threatening wound that would....most of the time never heal! It was possible that one of the CCGs might have made a new quiniq with the kagune....but it'll be a lot harder to find if they were from a different ward!
Colby looked at his hands....then there was Sam....still in the hospital....
He had wanted to stayed a bit longer...just until he woke up but Caprone had been bugging him with a hundred messages and miss calls that he eventually had to leave before he changed his mind about not attacking his brother.

"You think she'll wake up?"
"Probably not so soon".
Colby walked out of the room. "I'll be leaving tomorrow! Sam needs me now".
