Sam Golbach (pic above)
Before a ghoul

She stood gazing at the city below, her lips bloody. The human she had intentionally murdered was ironically talking to his night shift friend about how weak his wife was and how she always listens to him. Heck, all women were weak all the same. Then when his friend when home early and he was all alone, Arang came, smiled and stabbed the dumbfck. It felt pretty good since her entire arm penetrated through his body, bloodying his uniform.
He was kind of a lousy guard if u ask her and the face he made just before she killed him was just too stupid and amusing. Men...men are truly the dumbest shit god has ever created. Man on the other hand...gave her the proteins she needed to kill other man. So...man is okay. But men can piss up a rope.

All men are such fuckers...Rize thought the same as well. Back when they were closer and she wasn't such a bitch. Back when she wasn't hunted down by other ghouls and the CCGs at the same time. News that she was dead was circulating...but Arang knew better than that. Rize...was just too hard to kill. She has dying issues...
And...for a fact that a part of Rize's scent is still in the air. Arang could just catch a sniff of it all the time and for weeks now...she had been following the aroma. It seemed to have led her to this town...Los Angeles...where men diss about women during their break hours. Jerks!
She'll teach them. She'll teach them all. She's a great teacher after all!

Peter Furroster eyed the boy in front of from top to bottom. While Sam swallowed nervously and tried to stand up as straight as possible. The old man tipped his tall hat a little forward to cover his eyes and nodded with a long "Mmm" then he added, "I see...so, this is the boy you were talking about, Petra".

Sam saw Colby straightened up...which is the rarest thing the young Golbach has witnessed in his best friend of 5 years. Mr Furroster turned his gaze with a look of surprise on him as Colby slightly bowed so that his chest leaned forward. Furroster gave a low laugh, patting the dark haired boy affectionately on his shoulders. "My,my...I can't say how glad I am to see u, Colby".
"C'mon doc...this place is every bit as my home in Kansas", Colby said, swapping his arms around Sam's shoulders n pulling him close.

"My best friend here is Sam Golbach, he'd like to stay with you guys for a bit if you don't mind".
Furroster nodded his head like he just remembered something very important. "Ahh yes", he remarked, tracing his gaze back at Sam. "Golbach...though I think Petra might have misinterpreted your last name to me because I'm quite sure that she said-"

"My bad", Petra called out, a menu tucked under her right arm professionally. "It wasn't Goldilocks after all".
Sam's face went red as a beet root. "WHAT!"
Colby sniffed while Lyra covered her lips with the back of her hand, avoiding a grin. "Oh deary..." But then the dark haired snorted and in no time he was pretty much laughing very loudly, attracting the customers around the cafe.

"I can already imagine it!" Colby said in between laughters. "Miss, Sam is absent today. Which one? Sam Goldilocks". Colby laughed even louder and this time Lyra joined in helplessly. Sam just stood there, absorbing the laughter like a sponge and although he felt embarrassed and irritated, the joyful voices of literally everyone inside the coffee, sweet bitter filling space gave him an odd pang of comfort.

It was a nice feeling...after everything

"So...i bet they already give you a place?"

"Yeah", Sam replied. "Small but comfy enough'

Sam watched as Petra caught his last sentence because now she had turned part of her face at his direction. "You've got the nerve to complain, don't ya?"
