After visiting the museum I decided to take off and check out some of the other hot spots in the city. Not everything was as interesting as the museum had been but each building held a different representation of the different aspects. Although I was still wishing that someone else had been here to experience it with me.
If mom was here I knew she'd be dragging me to every library around, encouraging me to check out all the older buildings and reassuring me that it would be "a lot of fun". But it would have been fun with her here, a lot better than dealing with all of the city jumble by myself.
I had to admit, the longer I stayed here the more that I began to miss home. I missed being able to look outside of my window and see the ocean, smell the salty air and really take in all the nature of the shore. Looking outside my window here all I could see was more buildings, lights and could hear the loud honks of cars containing people with road rage.
Although, I still found it rather strange that even in the bright city, the museum and the hotel, both owned by one of the Greyson's, didn't seem to have a speck of light cast upon them from the outside. It was eery but exciting at the same time, it gave my mind a sense of adventure.
I heard a loud honk of a horn which snapped me back to my senses quickly. I hadn't noticed that when I had been busy day dreaming that I hadn't even bothered to make my way through the crosswalk. Even though I had pushed the button to indicate that I wanted to cross.
I quickly shuffled across the road and stood on the other side, looking back at all the cars whizzing past. One impatient person could have flown out and hit me if they really wanted to. That was one major risk of the city.
I made my way back to the hotel slowly, trying to take in a bit more of the city before I secluded myself back into the hotel.
"You're back!"
I looked up quickly as I stepped into the hotel to see Elisa leaning over the reception desk with a bright smile on her face. She had her hair pulled back in a tight pony tail with a few loose strands dangling beside her bright red cheeks, "I didn't think you'd be here in time!"
I tilted my head slightly, "In time for what?"
Elisa smiled and walked out from behind the counter, she was wearing a beautiful lace blue gown with bright white high heels. She took both my hands and pulled me in closer to her, "The party."

"Would you hold still!"
I gritted my teeth as Madeline pushed the top of my back towards the table while Elisa yanked on the strings of a corset, trying to get it to close completely.
"I'm not that fat!!"
Elisa giggled as she yanked once more then wrapped the rest of the string around the bow. Madeline let out a loud sigh and let go of my back, allowing me to stand up straight.
They both looked at me with an impressed look on their face. Elisa put her hand on my shoulder and smiled, "You've actually got curves!"
I shook my head and put my hands to my face, I may have curves but I can't breathe. Almost as if Madeline read my mind she laughed and hung her head low, "If we loosen it, it'll look funny. So deal with the pain."
I nodded as Elisa pulled out a long black gown and held it up to my face. It was so elegant and beautiful, full of lace designs and smooth material , something someone would wear to their wedding.
Madeline smiled and unzipped the back of it, "Hop in."
I stepped in slowly as they pulled it up around the corset and zipping the back up smoothly. It fit like a dream and was probably the most comfortable dress I had ever worn. The dresses back home were nice but the material wasn't as elegant.
