I awoke the next morning to a bright light shining through my window. The curtains were drawn back and my door was left slightly ajar, it was almost as if someone had just left.

I rolled over and sprawled my hand across the bed, expecting to touch Oliver's arm but instead my hand only smoothed over the jumbled sheets. I sighed and pulled myself up, holding the blanket tight against me in case someone decided to march back in. I waited a few moments before swinging my legs over the edge of the bed, pulling the sheets off the bed around me and walking to the door, closing it swiftly.

What had I done? I just slept with a married man who's wife is definitely a little psychotic and will probably take off my head. Although, it didn't feel wrong in the slightest. If anything I felt more loved than I had before and every part of me was screaming to go find him.

I grinned and ran over to the foot of the bed, grabbing my clothes off the floor and jumping into them. I quickly pulled my hair into a tight pony tail and walked out the door, closing it gently behind me. I turned to see Sylvie, folding sheets across the hall and grinning at me.

"Good morning Sylvie."

Sylvie smiled and continued to fold her sheets, "How did you sleep?"

I smiled, finally she wasn't being weird, "Good thanks."

I strode down the hallway and passed her as quickly as possible. She gave me a very eery feeling just being in sight of her.

I was almost to the stairs when I could hear her voice echo close behind me.

"I know your sheets will need to be washed."

I stopped in my tracks and turned towards her slightly, trying to hide the worried look on my face, "Well they've been slept in quite a few times so it would be nice if you could give them a quick wash for me. Dirty sheets aren't that comfortable."

Sylvie grinned and then let out a loud laugh, slamming the sheets down on her tray, "Do you actually think I'm that stupid?"

I winced at the sound of her laugh and took a step backwards, she was even more scary when she was mad.

Sylvie stepped out from around the cart and pointed her finger at me accusingly, "I roam all hours of the night. Don't think I didn't see him go into your room last night and not come out until morning. I heard the bed squeak and I could hear every sound you made. Just you wait until Helen gets a hold of you!"

"Sylvie you don't understand..." I walked towards her and held my hands out to her, almost pleading for her not to say anything to Helen, "It was a one time thing, it's not like he's going to divorce Helen. Yes it was bad and yes it was a mistake...forgive and forget?"

Sylvie narrowed her eyes at me and moved herself back around the cart, pushing it towards me, "If I have to listen to THAT ever again, you're gonna have Helen and me on your hands."

I bit my tongue and turned around to find Chira standing in front of me, her eyes glimmering with amusement. I stepped back and tried to hide an embarrassed smile, "You didn't hear that did you?"

Chira watched me for a moment, studying my face before looking up at Sylvie, "It's time for your break, why don't we go for some tea?"

                                                                                               ***

I was some glad to get away from Sylvie, Chira was my savior in that moment. I don't know what I would have done if Sylvie would have shot back with something else about what Oliver and I had done last night.
