I stepped away from Oliver, my eyes wide and confused. He gazed down at me with a smile planted firmly on his face. H reached into his pocket and pulled out folded up papers, holding them in front of my face, "Divorce papers."
I shook my head and snatched them from his hands, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
Oliver tilted his head, "What do you mean? This is what I want."
I shook my head over and over again, my hands trembling as I held the paper in my hands. Part of me didn't want to open it and part of me wanted to see the truth of it all. My head swarmed with dizziness again and my knees buckled. I felt my knees hit the floor and Oliver's arms push under mine, trying to catch me before I fell.
My mind was whirling. Why. Why would he have done this. He had been married for so long and now he just threw it all away for a little country girl that happened to stumble into his hotel. Sure enough Helen would be after me soon. But would Oliver let that happen? Or would he keep her out of the hotel and away from me? Do I really know that he would protect me?
Oliver placed his hand on my cheek and tilted my head up to him. My vision was blurry but I could still fully concentrate on his eyes. He smiled and kissed my cheek gently, "Can you stand?"
I shrugged my shoulders and let myself collapse into him. My arms wrapped under his waist as my head collided with his chest. I shut my eyes and breathed in, taking in the smell of his cologne and the feel of his arms against me.
I looked up to see Chira glaring down at us, her eyes narrowed and arms folded. I shut my eyes and buried my face back in his chest. I didn't want to think of anything negative right now.
"Why her."
Oliver and I both brought our heads up to see Chira still standing with her arms crossed. She walked towards us, leaning over me with a sleek smile, "Why the country bumpkin when you could still have Helen? Or Madeline? She's gorgeous, she's been your friend for years. You could have any of us with the snap of your fingers. So why her?"
Oliver grinned and pulled me closer to him, "She's different."
Chira glared and walked around us, mumbling something under her breath, she made her way out the door. Madeline stood up, gave us a small nod before striding out after Chira.
I looked at Oliver and sighed, "My head hurts too much for this."
Oliver chuckled and brushed his fingers through my matted hair, looking down at me with concerned eyes. He leaned down slowly, almost as if to make sure I was okay with what he was about to do, then kissed me gently, keeping his arms tight around me.
I smiled into the kiss but broke away giggling, "How do you expect that to cure my headache?"
Oliver smiled and stood up, pulling me gently to my feet, "I have something that will."

Oliver stood outside a large square door, his hand resting gently on the handle as he watched me with mischievous eyes, "Ready?"
I nodded as he pushed the door open slowly. Light shone through the door and hit me like a bullet, causing me to bring my arms up to shield my eyes. The light only made my head hurt more.
I blinked a few times before moving my arms away and peering into the room before me. It was gorgeous. A large room with a glass ceiling and walls, there were plants growing in every direction and a beautiful stone waterfall fountain placed in the center. Two chairs were placed against the fountain which gave whoever sat there a beautiful view of everything.
