Write a chapter where one of your characters dresses up as a Disney Princess

Piper realises how ugly her laugh is when she sees Jonah in a dress the next day, with a face like Grumpy Cat. She can't contain the horrible laughter and, soon enough, she's crying and shaking like she's just watched the first few minutes of "Up" (which she has, several times).

"Don't judge me!" Jonah shouts, even though that is exactly what Piper is doing (she's also admiring his bum which, she admits, is pretty nice). "This is your dress, remember?"

It was Piper's dress, she's not ashamed about this. In fact, she's wondering whether or not to wear it for Halloween this year (She decides, yes, she will).

The girl takes a moment to take it all in: the boy, with his cropped brown hair, dressed as Cinderella. She smiles and Jonah notices, half pleased and half worried by how sweet this moment is.

"Oh, I love this dress," Piper says (she refrains from adding, "Especially on you"). "And, I'm not judging-" Molly laughs at this point, having held it in (or, you know, attempted to) this whole time.

Three pairs of eyes move to Jonah's phone, sat on the arm of the couch.

"Don't."

Piper moves a step closer to Jonah's phone as he speaks, frowning ever so slightly.

"Even."

Piper's hand is literally right on his phone, victory is in her grasp.

"Think."

Just as Piper thinks she's got it, her hand slips ever so slightly.

"About."

She gains composure, still laughing a little, and grabs the phone again.

"It."

"Hah!" Piper howls, the phone in her hand like a trophy.

The colour drains from the boy's face.

"Please don't."

Piper raises an eyebrow at him, she'd never had a boy beg her before.

This has just got interesting..

"Please don't."

She waves the phone in the boy's face, like a toy for a dog.

"What are you going to do about it?"

Jonah reaches for the phone but Piper moves it, making sure he really can't get it.

"I'll-" He gasped sounding in pain. "I'll watch one of those stupid Disney movies"

Piper raises her eyebrow, ready to take the worst picture of Jonah anybody has ever seen (although, from that angle, he didn't look so bad). "Okay! Okay! I'll watch one of those great Disney movies"

She tosses Jonah's phone in his direction, nearly dropping it as she does so, and he takes it- smiling in gratitude.

"Thank you." Jonah sighs, clutching his phone like a prized possession.

"Now," Piper claps her hands together, making Jonah jump a little. "What do we watch...what do we watch."

"I can think of something-"

"Ah, you may be the princess, Jonah," Piper wishes she was wearing heels as she spoke, she could imagine the clack-clack-clack of them as she paces. "But I am queen and I say we watch "The Lion King""

"Can I-"

"No, you cannot take the dress off Jonah."

The credits roll and Piper can feel the tears on her cheeks. Molly is smiling, still singing "Hakuna Matata" as she dances around the kitchen. Jonah, though he doesn't admit it, feels a little...moved by it.

"Right..." Piper cuts a knife through the silence. "Ready for the sequel?" She asks, despite the fact that the DVD is in the player in seconds after the first DVD is removed.

Just as Piper has the "Play Movie" button selected, the phone rings.

Jonah jumps up to answer it, and it's silent.

When he returns, he doesn't look pleased.

"Dad called," He explains. "He has to do work over Christmas-"

"D-Dad won't be home for Christmas?"

Jonah puts his arms around Molly, suddenly inconsolable.

"I'm sorry, he said "He said he tried but they need him, Mols"

"We need him, though!"

"I know, Mols."

Piper looks at the two of them and then the DVD player and then them again.

Jonah notices her puppy dog eyes, "Play the sequel, go on."

Piper scrambles to the remote, presses play and enters the zone.

Not a word is spoken during this time and the three of them are glad about it.

Could you picture Sam Claflin in a dress because I really could! That's not strange, is it? Hmm, it probably is. Well, there's a little bit of family drama introduced in this chapter, so it's a bit more exciting than any of the previous chapters.

I have mock exams tomorrow in school which I've hardly revised for. I probably should have been revising tonight, but I just really wanted to write. If I fail, I blame this story.

^Above is a gif of the girl who plays Molly, whose possibly a little too young to play her but she's cute and that's kind of what I was going for (Again, you do not have to picture the characters as these specific actors but it helps me to write with the image in my mind, if that makes sense.)
