Have a chapter where a character is reading one of the Kingdom Keepers books

Piper guessed Sandra has magical powers. She knows it's silly to think like that, especially at her age, but the thought can't help but cross her mind as she helps herself to another cookie (once you start eating, she realises, you can't stop).

After all, since her Mother appeared in her room (unannounced, irritatingly), it's as if she and Jonah hadn't been fighting hours earlier. Maybe the cookies has some sort of special ingredient....

With this in mind, she puts her half eaten cookie back on the plate and- having noticed the girl's expression- Jonah follows suit.

Maybe Jonah's stopped being so....annoying.

Piper shouldn't have held her breath as, moments later, Jonah starts being just that.

Jonah is now sifting through Piper's collection of books (if there was one thing Piper loved that wasn't Disney, it was books), being sure to look at every last one. He skim reads each one of them, his nose scrunching up at the funny parts of each.

Piper sits on her bed awkwardly, feeling judged and maybe a little warm (was it just her or was it really hot in here), as Jonah stops his wandering finger on a book (one of her favourites) and digs it out.

It is then that Piper realises something: it's midnight.

She laughs at her stupidity, so what if it is midnight? It isn't as if she's going to do a Cinderella and transform into the servant girl to her evil step family.

With this in mind, Jonah doesn't even ask before he opens "Disney After Dark" and starts reading.

He's almost halfway through when he notices, with a snort, that Piper has fallen asleep.

He grumbles, shutting the book, moving towards the bookshelf.

But he doesn't want to put it away...

Though he would never admit it, especially not to Piper (he would not hear the end of it if he told her that), he actually likes this book.

Which is why, as Piper sleeps (and snores, another thing Jonah has noticed recently), he takes the book and leaves.

She won't even know it's gone, he reassures himself.

A/N: Bit of a short and boring one unfortunately. Sorry for that.

(I know I promise this every chapter but I promise this story will get better!)

Jonah, why did you do that?!

Just letting you know, I've never read one of the Kingdom Keeper's books.

Have any of you?

^Above is a picture of the first Kingdom Keepers books: Disney After Dark (I had to Google to figure out what these books actually were.)

Hope you liked this chapter!
