Write a chapter including a strong female fighting for something she believes in (Or, in simpler terms, based off of Mulan)

A/N: This is just one of the many additional prompts involved in the original prompt. I've chosen to use this one, and this one only, because I feel that it fits with the story and how I want to end it. Properly end it. Thanks to everyone who's stuck with the story in the various directions it has taken. Thank you to the person who made my lovely cover, I thought I had dedicated a chapter to you before but- if not- I'll thank you here.

Here it is, the final- and I mean final- chapter of "Truly, Madly, Disney". It takes place a few months after Jonah has moved. If anyone wants to know what happens to any of the characters after this story, or just any questions about the story (or anything I have written, or are planning to write), let me know in the comments.

Ok, finally, here it goes.

Piper is dressed up as a princess, which explains why she's been getting strange looks all morning. The strange looks don't stop when she ascends the steps, clumsily, wishing she hadn't agreed to this. With a deep breath and a second or two to compose herself, Piper is ready.

Or, you know, just about.

When she enters the classroom, the children at their desks fall silent, or at least most of them do.

"What is she wearing?" One child says.

"She looks horrible!" Another laughs.

A loud, and familiar, voice pipes up "I think she looks great"

Piper winks at Molly, who is sat at the front of the room (of all places), who smiles warmly back at her.

Suddenly the criticism stops (Piper thinks she looks good, at least) and the teacher, Mrs Watson, clicks her fingers.

Now all their attention is on Piper, who is a stiff as the chair she had sat in this morning in the Head's office.

She gulps.

Uh oh.

"You all might want to know why I'm dressed like this-"

"Because you're weird..."

The whole class explodes with laughter as the little boy smirks at Piper.

Listen here, you Disney villain, she thinks. But, she doesn't say that.

"I'm dressed like this because I want you all to know that it's okay to do this, it's okay to be obsessive over something-"

The little boy laughs again and, having realised that her pitch isn't working, Piper changes it up.

"What do you like to do, more than anything?" She asks the boy.

"I like to dance" He explains, which is greeted by a series of laughter.

"Everybody quiet!" Mrs Watson barks suddenly, and everybody- Piper included- is just that.

"And has anyone ever put you down because of it?" Piper continues.

Silent, the boy nods.

"Well I'm here to say that, if you love something- whether it be Disney, like me, or dancing, you shouldn't be afraid of what other people think-"

A little girl at the back of the classroom raises her hand. Piper nods.

"So, what you're saying is-" She stops to adjust her glasses. "When you love something, you shouldn't be afraid to fight for it"
