A month later

Artemis and Cameron had grown closer, despite Tania's obvious protests. She was now stuck to Cameron's friend, Jay, like glue. The girl couldn't help it, she liked everyone. There was no shame in how she laid her game down. Artemis entered the Earth Science room the Wednesday before her concert for her school, and felt as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. She and Grayson had broken up the night before, and while she was a little down, she couldn't help but be happy, even though Cameron and his 'girlfriend' were still on and off, which pissed Artemis off JUST a tad.

She sat down next to Cameron, who put his hand on her leg, and Artemis nearly melted. His hand was so warm, and the physical contact was crazy and had her head swimming. She noticed that Tania was hanging around way too much for her tastes and meant to tell her later to back the hell off. But in a much nicer way than that. Maybe. Cameron laid his head in her lap, and she ran her fingers through the curls. So soft and adorable on him, she couldn't help but smile wider. She decided to put him on snapchat. She held her phone up just a tad and began to talk to the camera.

"He just called me a n-" Artemis began to say, when Cameron shut her down with a surprise kiss, leaving her speechless, and allowing the camera time to run out. Her heart was beating furiously in her chest, and Cameron was laughing at her as she uploaded the video to her personal Story, and downloading it to her own gallery for safekeeping. She sat up a little straighter and looked at Cameron. "Did you just-" "Yes, I did. Is it a problem?" Cameron asked her cockily, and she blushed. She set her Kik picture up as the picture of the two of them, and smiled as everyone in her group chat asked were they official.

It set Artemis on edge not to know the answer to that question. Were they still just Best Friends? Did the kiss mean nothing? Artemis didn't even know. She was scared to ask the question she so wanted the answers to. But who could she run to? Tania was out of the question. After Artemis's close friend, Mj, had called Tania a jealous little girl and desperate for attention, Artemis didn't know what to do. She brushed her long brown hair out of her face and into a ponytail so it wouldn't be in the way as she began to think.

She bit the inside of her lip. So much goddamn drama and with homecoming only a week away, and the concert on Friday, she didn't know what she was going to do. Cameron had asked her to go to homecoming of course, but she had to still find the perfect dress, and she wanted to look as gorgeous as possible for him, and let him know for him she would do anything. "Arty, you okay?" Cameron asked, and Artemis nodded briefly, and Cameron smiled at her, as Tania watched on, still trying to get into Jay's face. Ugh. Someone give this chick a newsflash.
