Wild Things

The Pact

                            CARMELA'S POV
After driving for a while we arrived at the beach. It was dark out and I thought that's when the beach was most beautiful. I got out of the car and I  layed down on the hood of the car and gazed at the moon and stars. Jaden followed and joined me.We layed in silence taking in the beautiful scenery. I broke the silence.

"It's beautiful out here" I said breathlessly
I like to stare at the stars for a while and just forget about what's going on in my life. Even if it's just for a couple of seconds. It's worth it.

"Yea it is" he agreed

I noticed that we didn't really get a chance to formally introduce ourselves.

"I'm Carmela, the disappointment" I said  holding my hand out to shake his.

"I'm Jaden.. The nerd" he said as he reached out to shake my hand, but I pulled back before he could shake it and said
"Really?"I said looking at him curiously.
"I don't know... Are you really a disappointment?"He replied
"Of course I.." I paused and thought about it.
"..I guess we'll find out" I said as I accepted his handshake. I laid back down
We  gazed at the stars what felt like forever.

"Welp. Enough of this gushy stuff. Let's get in!"I smacked the hood of the car and hopped off of it.
He recoiled and sat up.
"What? I-In the water? Now?"

"Yes in the water... Right now"

"W-well i don't know... Isn't it cold? I don't have my swimming trunks, and my ankle is still messed up"

"Who said you needed trunks?"
I said as I stripped my clothes off until I was in nothing but a white tank top and black underwear.
He averted his eyes.
"B-but"
" And You can re wrap your leg at home right?"
He paused.
"C'mon it'll be fun! You trust me right?"
He smiled and looked down.
"I don't remember saying that"

"Well I do! And I'm holding you to your word"
I was already knee deep into the water.

"C'mon nerd!"I said in a playful manner. He smiled back and said:
"Coming, disappointment" 

He hesitated to take his clothes off.
He wasn't budging.
I sighed and yelled
"I'm not looking!" I turned around and covered my eyes facing the moon. My stomach was now under the water.

It took a while, but I eventually heard water splashing as he made his way toward me. His wounded ankle caused him to hiss as he came in the water. He came up next to me on my left side and pulled my left hand down from covering my eyes and he held my hand. I stared at the moon it looked so close, it felt like I could almost touch it.
I looked at Jaden and smiled.

"What?" He asked.

"Nothing..You just have something on your face" I chuckled

"W-What? Where?"

"Rightt.. There" I splashed him with mountains of water provoking him to engage in a water fight.
He laughed and fought back with sprinkles of water.

"Oh come on. It actually offends me that you think I can't handle a little water.. Think of it as a way to let out all you're anger and frustration. Just let it all out" I said
He paused for a second.
Suddenly he flenched as if something bit him underwater.

"What happened?" I said as I inched closer to him, concerned.
He splashed me with gallons of water that kept coming and coming.
He accepted my challenge.
