Chapter 9- Chelsea

Chapter 9

I set down my stuff in the small room of the Inn, wishing there was just a little bit more space. The room looked like and ordinary Inn room. Two beds, one both sides of the room. There was a tall brown bookcase in the corner of the room along with a small brown table that had a green plant on top of it. There was a light bulb on the ceiling that was already on when we entered the room. The girls came in laughing and talking up a storm, as if they known each other this whole trip. I still don't completely approve of this...we don't even know her!

"So why were you sleeping the hallway?" Jill asked the browned hair girl.

"Well, not too long ago, I moved here to have my own farm, but I couldn't really really keep up with it.. so yesterday I sneaked into the Inn and slept in the hallway of the Inn, and well now I'm here." She said already making herself comfortable on one of the beds

"You're a farmer too?" Jill said

"Well, was a farmer." The girl said

"We're farmers too! I'm from Forgot Me Not Valley and my sister is from Mineral Town.

Not saying a word I quietly sit on the opposite bed on the other side of the room, listening to their conversation.

"Hey! I've heard of those places, we actually have a couple people who come here from those places every now  and then, like Doctor Trent is from Mineral Town."

"I know him!" I suddenly jumped up and said, then realizing I put myself in an awkward position and sat quietly back down

"Yeah, he's the doctor that comes here every now and then for check ups for us." the girl said now laying down 

"Well anyway, I'm Jill, and that's my sister Claire. Who are you?"

"I'm Chelsea, thanks for letting me chill here with you guys."

"Eh, no problem." Jill said finally making herself comfortable and sitting on the edge of my bed that I guess we're now going to share.

"How much was your place?" Jill asked to Chelsea

"1500 gold per season"

Me and Jill quietly looked at each other not saying a word.

"Uh...." Jill said

"You couldn't manage to keep 1500 gold just to pay rent? I make at least that much from the cows!" I said in disbelief

"Hey! I was tied up trying to get ready to think of my next move!" Chelsea said with anger in her tone

"Your next move? Where ya going?" Jill asked trying to calm us down

"Didn't you hear? This Island is going to be sink next season."

"W-WHAT?!" Jill and I screamed

"Keep it down!" said a lady knocking on the front of our door.

"S-sorry.." We all whispered.

"What do you mean it's going to sink? I came here to find happiness and I heard this is the place to find it!" I said in a loud whisper

"A long time ago, it was our goal to find all of the missing sun stones here to find all of the hidden islands. Eventually, me and the town's people found all of the sun stones, but after so long, they got old and as we speak the stones are slowly rotting away which keep our islands up. So far already two of the islands have sunken down. Eventually, this one will too."

"B-b-but that can't happen!" I yelled

"Shhh!!" Jill said waving her finger at me

"Is there anyway to restore them?" I asked lowering my voice

"Not that I know of...I mean, we could possibly ask around but, everything has to die at some point right?"

"No way!  Not while I'm here! I'm not leaving until I find my happiness!" said in another loud whisper

"Whats up with her and this happiness crap?" Chelsea said quietly to Jill

"Long story...get some sleep, we'll find out more tomorrow" Jill said calmly climbing into bed.

"Agreed, Goodnight guys!" Chelsea said as she got under the blankets

"Night..."  

I got into bed and tried not to think about what tomorrow will bring...to think that each day on here might be my last, wasn't the most pleasant thought. I either need too find a way to restore this place, or get off this island asap!
