The last thing anyone expects to find lying on the floor is Percikan, completely and utterly knocked out for some reason or another. Tierra finds her on a search for Doku and Blitz, so at least it proved helpful for something. The twins already took our leader to the infirmary, and the mere thought of her being incapacitated is a little frightening for everyone. Mufasa has turned up missing too now, and the search for two has been expanded to three.
It's only my second day here (awake and alive, at least), and it really seems like everything that could go wrong has in fact happened. Ventus is about ready to go and search for the boys in the desert, but Tony keeps managing to convince her out of it. He continues to mention that if there really was something out there that took them, then he would've been alerted. Apparently this place has been rigged with the best alarm system in human history, but I think we all can see how well tat's playing out for us all.
Rem still seems to be panicking a bit, just repeating something about the creature from yesterday to anyone that will listen. So really, just to Levi and apparently me. Rem really isn't so threatening once that scythe has been taken out of the equation, and now they just seem completely and utterly lost in this insane and crazy world that we happen to live in. It's even a little weird seeing them without a miniskirt and a bunch of sassy remarks about our imminent demise.
It was a little weird how quickly I got used to things around here, but maybe it was just because I actually feel like I belong somewhere for once in my life. Even at my old safebase, things weren't all that great, and not just because there was always a feeling of dread hanging around everyone. Nope, even there I stuck out a little, despite the fact that I didn't actually have gills and fins and webbed fingers quite yet. But here I'm just Rayne, the fish guy that no one really notices because apparently having scales and flippers makes me a little invisible to everyone here. Not that I mind it, really. It's almost nice to be left alone for once.
I really need to stop daydreaming and get back to searching, shouldn't I? Sigh. But okay, back to work it is. I've been attempting to look behind every door I can that isn't a bedroom. I just have a feeling if I looked in those, someone would yell at me for snooping in their personal space. Or at least that's what I'd be doing, so everyone else would probably want their personal space too.
I'm currently searching through Doku's library, hoping that maybe he and Blitz got lost in here and they weren't really gone forever. I even leave a little trail of water behind me (I was trying to practice a little control before breakfast. In your face, everyone who doubted me) to find my way back to the entrance. Leave it to me to find another exit that leads to a sort of underground tunnel (well, even farther underground since we're technically already there). And being the curious little buttface I am, I decide to go down it and see just where it leads.
At least down here I don't really care whether or not I get water everywhere. So I get a nice little stream flowing, and since the tunnel seems to be a pretty steep drop down, I just hop in the water and let it carry me down. It's easier than walking, that much is for certain. It's kinda fun too, at least until I remember that this is supposed to be a serious situation and not a really epic and fun adventure.
Leave it to me to accidentally manage to merge my little stream in with an actual underground water source. The preexisting one takes over the rest of the way and drops me right off in a sort-of cavern...right where I get to watch Doku and Blitz kiss. Okay...wasn't exactly expecting that one. Thanks a lot, world. I suppose this is what I get for trying to help.
Doku is the first to actually notice my sudden arrival, breaking off his little kissing session with Blitz immediately hearing my splashdown. "Uhh...Why are you here and how in the hell did you find this place?"
I just kind of sit there in my little puddle, feeling a little ridiculous at this point. "Well, ya see...There's this door in your library that may or may not lead right to the spot that I'm currently sitting in..." I don't even make an attempt to get up, I'm feeling that lazy right now. "Everyone's looking for you guys and Mufasa. It's pretty much mass panic up there right now."
All the color seems to drain from Blitz's face for a moment. "Wait...did you jus say that Fasa is missing too?" I just nod, not exactly in the mood to explain myself again. "I guess I chose the wrong day to take you down here, didn't I?" He says sheepishly to Doku, just earning a whack to the head from the shorter boy.
"Ya think? Let's just get back up there before Kannie puts out wanted posters for us or something," he says with a sigh, picking up a pair of fallen gloves from the floor. I didn't notice it until now (for obvious reasons), but there are little claws protruding from each of Doku's fingers, each completely black with poison. He sinks them into the fabric of his gloves before slipping the things on.
Well, at least they've been wrangled up. Even if Kannie's still probably unconscious and Mufasa is probably still missing.
