Roses and Violets

Chapter 1

Brooke:

I locked hands with Paisley so I didn't loose her as we walked threw the crowded airport. "Awe babe, I love you too." She said causing us both to laugh. We boarded our plane shortly after we got to the gate.

To start from the beginning I am Brooklyn Hunter. I grew up in Maine with Paisley. Paisley lived down the street from me and like all friendships we've had our ups and downs. We've been friends since I was 4 she's 2 years older than me but I mean age is just a number right?

We had taken off and turned our phones back on. As soon as mine turned on it blew up. A call from the detective office back home is what really caught my eye.

Thinking it was just a prank or maybe even a wrong number I ignored it not worrying about it.

Ashton:

I was sitting on the couch with my band mates waiting for my mom to get home. "Ash when will mom be back?" Lauren asked as she came into the living room.

"I don't know let me call her." I said wondering where she was myself. After a few rings she answered.

"Mom where are you? You said you were going to get food." I said as soon as she picked up.

"Change of plans I have a surprise for you guys I'll be home in a few hours" she said hanging up.

Just as my mom had promised she returned home a few hours later, but she wasn't alone. She came in the door and two girls entered behind her.

"Who are they?" I asked.

"Lauren, Harry, will you come here please?" My mom called not answering my question.

Once the other two were in the living room my mom introduced them. "Guys this is your half sister Brooklyn and her friend Paisley." She said.

"You can just call me Brooke." Brooke said.

"Half sister?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, we have the same mom but different dads." Brooke said.

"Why didn't you tell me I had a half sister?" I asked.

"I didn't know how you would feel about having another sibling." My mom said

"Good point." I said.

"Girls I'll take your stuff upstairs if you need anything just ask." My mom said as she walked away.

"Well since Ashton's clearly not going to introduce us I will, I'm Calum, this is Michael, and that is Luke." Calum said pointing to each of them.

"You can just call me Mikey or Mike." Mike said.

"Nice to meet you." Brooke said.

"So Brooke how old are you?" I asked.

"I'll be nineteen this Friday." She said.

"No way, my birthday was last Friday." Luke said.

"Really?" Paisley asked.

"Yeah." Luke said back.

"That's weird." Paisley said.

"When's your birthday Paisley?" Mike asked.

"July 8th." She said.

"What year?" Calum asked.

"94, why?" She asked.

"I'm a day older than you." I said amused.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah my birthdays July 7th." I said.

"Now that's weird." Brooke said.

Brooke:

We were hanging with the guys for a while we ended up basically playing 20 questions. We learned that they were a band called 5 Seconds of Summer and that they were leaving for tour in about 2 months, which worked out perfect because we would be going back to Maine in 2 months.

We were sitting watching a horror movie when Lauren came in. "So since you spent the whole night with Ashton does that mean you and Paisley will hang out with me and Harry all day tomorrow?" She asked.

"Of course. You'll have to tell us what you guys want to do." I said with a smile.

"Can you drive?" She asked.

"What 19 and 21 year old can't?" I asked with a laugh. The guys just started snickering. I just ignored it.

"Awesome we can go to the mall then." She said getting excited.

"Anything you wanna do just make sure Harry wants to do the same thing." I said and her smile fell a bit.

"Or I'll work it out so we do something we can all enjoy. We'll go to the mall for a little bit then we'll go play laser tag somewhere and then get frozen yogurt on the way home sound good?" I asked. Her smile returned as she shook her head quickly.

"Alright, go tell Harry the plan." I said and she ran off for the stairs.

"I wanna go play laser tag." Calum said.

"We have to go to the studio tomorrow." Ashton said.

"Maybe another day." I said as I got up and stretched. "In the mean time I'm going to bed because, jet lag." I said causing the guys to laugh.

"Wait for me babe." Paisley said as she stood up.

"Are you guys dating?" Calum asked.

"No we're both strait but we're really close." I said yawning as I walked upstairs in search of our room.

I found it a few minutes later. It had two beds in it and our stuff was put in one corner. We claimed beds and changed before collapsing on our beds and passing out.
