Roses and Violets

Chapter 9:

Brooke:

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked at the time and it was 4 in the morning. I groaned and answered the phone.

"Pais, it's 4 in the morning what do you want?" I asked my voice groggy.

"No it's not its 8 at ni- oh right sorry." She said making me laugh.

"What's up?" I asked sitting up and turning my lamp on.

"Why didn't you tell me you were dating Luke?!" She asked me.

"I'm not what are you talking about?" I asked.

"A fan tweeted a picture of you guys shopping in Victoria's Secret with Calum. And why were you shopping for lingerie of all things?" She asked making me laugh.

"We were messing around and were not dating according to the fan we are the fandoms OTP." I said with a slight laugh.

"Oh okay." She said making me laugh.

"Get off your phone and actually do something around the house would you Lee!" I heard Paisleys mom shout through the phone.

"I've done more around this house than you ever have!" Paisley shouted back. "And stop calling me by my middle name!" She added.

"Same old mom." I said.

"No she's much worse. She brought me back here only to make me sit and stare at the walls because I'm not scheduled to work due to the fact that I'm not suppose to be home." Pais said.

"That sucks. I wish you could come back. The day you left Trey showed up. Ashton ended up getting into a fight with him." I said deciding to tell her.

"Omg are you okay?" She asked as I heard bags shuffling and dressers closing.

"Besides that fact that the fight happened yesterday and he slapped me yeah." I said.

"What is it with him and slapping you?" She asked as I heard her zip something.

"I don't know, what are you doing?" I asked.

"Packing my bags. I'm getting out of this hell house even if I have to live on the street. It's better than here." She said as I heard her closet open.

"I'll meet you at the airport here at about 6 tonight." I said as I hung up the phone and then ordered the plane tickets. I set my phone down and went to sleep.

I woke up and I had a text from Paisley from about 7 this morning saying the plane was taking off.

I got dressed into a pair of shorts with a tank top that had the different phases of the moon on it. I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen and while I waited for my food to finish cooking I sat on the counter humming when I noticed I had a message on Twitter. I opened the app and saw the message was a link to a YouTube video.

I clicked the link and it took me to a video of my brother and best friend dancing to hot in herre I starting laughing and fell off the counter. I continued laughing on the floor as the guys rushed in the room.

"Oh my god are you okay?" Calum asked.

"Is this why you were asking about the thongs?" I asked handing them my phone as I died of the laughter, they soon joined me.

"But seriously are you okay?" Luke asked as he helped me off the floor. I happened to lock eyes with him and I swear my heart melted at the color. "Uh. Yeah I'm fine." I said.

"I smell romance brewing." Calum said.

"Really cause all I smell is pizza rolls." Mikey said walking towards the microwave.

"Keep your hands off my food." I said running over and grabbing them before he could.

"Awe." He said as I walked away to the couch.

It was nearing closer to 6 and I was waiting for a text from Paisley saying the plane had landed. I told my mom she was coming but I didn't tell anyone else.

I was curled up on the couch between Luke and Calum. I had my head on Calum's shoulder. We were about to watch the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie when the door burst open.

"I'm back!" I heard Paisley call. I jumped to my feet and ran to hug her.

"BABES!!" I screamed and run to her. "PAISLEY!" Mikey screamed he ran over and hugged us both picking us up causing us to laugh.

"You were not about to watch my favorite movie without me!" She said as we walked into the living room.

"Of course not." I said as it started.

"Okay maybe." Mike said.

We all sat back down and watched the movie. "Have you seen the video where the cat plays chopsticks with chopsticks?" Paisley and Mikey said copying the movie.

We all laughed and soon found we were running out of things to do, but we weren't tired.

"Anybody wanna play never have I ever?" Paisley asked.

"Eh we play that all the time Pais." I said scrolling through my phone finding nothing.

"Truth or dare?" Calum asked.

"Why not?" Mike said.

"Sure." I said.

"Alright. Luke truth or dare?" Mike said

"Who said I was playing?" Luke asked.

"I did cause I picked you, now answer the damn question." Mike said.

"Fine dare." Luke said setting his phone down.

"I dare you to kiss your crush."
