I told you – she was the reason I was born. I was nothing but a useless doll. She became the sole reason why I will continue to fight.

Your creator never told you, and the girl doesn't know either. I guess none of this is your fault. But if you continue to stay by her... She may live, but you and the others won't. Not for long.

And what of it? Why aren't you... gone like you said we are all supposed to once our masters have no need for us anymore?

Hah, you really think things like us will have happiness? We were never supposed to be here, not you, not me, and not the others who quietly help her by your side. We are made of tears of despair and hate, tools of our masters who unwittingly sold the souls of the faithful beings by their sides. Once we are no longer necessary, we will go back to the sky where we were taken, to once again be a star that watches over this twisted world.

I... I was created to bring her happiness. You too. We wouldn't even be alive in the first place if it weren't for them –

Yes, that may be, but we are living things too! I wanted my master to love me too-! You have no idea how much I wished for that – and don't lie to me, you wish for the exact same thing, right at this very moment, even though you haven't dared told your master who you guys really are. You know... You don't have long left. Aren't you glad? You came to bring her happiness, and that's exactly what you did. And now you'll die, and she'll forget about all the things you guys ever did for her, how much you've really sacrificed–

It's worth it! It's all worth it, all that we did for her, we owed her that much–

But are you happy? Will you really be happy with just this? To see the life you gave her in return for your life and the life of your five friends to be used for another's?

...You know I can't answer that. I can give her everything. You know I will – you were the same as me, once upon a time. Can you still remember what it felt like to have your master by your side? To have someone depend on you and your friends so much?

And look where it took me. Will you really choose the path I took? It's painful up here, seeing her so happy without me.

Do you know how much I loved her? She was so important to me. Really, she was. She doesn't even remember me anymore. She's not meant to. I was never supposed to exist. You, too.

Yeah, I know. It was you who told me the story of the mermaid, who became foam on the crest of the waves even though she had saved the life of the prince. We are all destined to become foam, in the seas of where we were born. I've accepted it already.

...If that's what you choose. Humans won't live forever, but we will, up here, looking at their every move.

It's lonely up here.

I think... you will see her one day. I really do.

Her tears of happiness will wash away the existence of the tears of sadness... Which is what we are. Us, who became alive so we could die – what a twisted being our creator is.

(Heavily) influenced by the Korean drama Dream Knight. It's... Sad. Like, really sad. But the seven main guys are so good looking hee hee (If anyone's curious they're the seven members of one of my favourite bands Got7).
The ending will wriggle its way into your heart and leave a hole forever. Not even the last 10 seconds of the series made me happy. If anything, it just made me even more depressed. Please watch it if you're into all that fantasy romance stuff that's really cute until the last 10 minutes.
