"Kia?...she sounds basic." Liyah says sitting across from Jamal in his office at Empire.
After the "talk" these two had, they've been in a good place, which got him and Ryan back on track as well.
"Don't be rude, and she's will bringing a lot into empire, but she can't if she doesn't do this song with Hakeem" Jamal says looking at the other girl "just please do it for me"
"Fine, is she here now?" Liyah says getting up from her seat.
"Should be" With that Liyah left Jamal's office, to look for the new Empire artist while walking she feels something around her ankle which caused her to fall the process.
"What the he- oh i'm sorry ma" Liyah hears a voice behind her say. She could know that voice from anywhere, i mean who wouldn't? Liyah gets up and turns to the voice and says "It's cool Hakeem" while fixing her shirt.
"Where are you going?" Hakeem asked
"Finding your new girlfriend"
"New girlfriend?"
Liyah sighs and rolls her eyes, then points to the picture on the wall that has Kia's picture under "Empire Artist"
"Screw her that's not my girl, she'll wish to get with this" Hakeem says smirking, looking down on himself
"Get with what? Shrimp dick?" Liyah laughs.
Hakeem looks at the slightly younger woman with a serious face "that wasn't funny"
Liyah shrugs and says "was to me" waves, then turns around to find Kia.

Tiana and Kia sat in the recording studio looking over song lyrics that Kia has wrote.
"This is hot" Tiana says looking at her cousin
"Too bad i can't perform them" Kia says getting up to pick up the papers that had her song lyrics on them
"Why? What happened K?" Tiana ask helping her with the paper
"Because Lucious and J-" in mid sentence, Kia gets cut off by a familiar voice
"Jamal wants her to do a song with Shrimp Dick but she's being petty about it" Liyah says standing by the door frame.
"Shrimp dick?" Tiana questions
"Hakeem" Liyah says rolling her eyes a little "i mean, you should know"
"That tr-"
"Wait um, Bitch who are you and why are you here?" Kia says pointing to Liyah
"You don't need to know, all you need to know is that you need to this song with Hakeem" Liyah says stepping towards the other woman
"Why? What's the point?"
"Because Kia, you have what it takes to become Empire's new "it girl" but you can't just come out of nowhere you have to come out with a bang and that's with Hakeem" Liyah looks at Tiana for reinsurance
"She's right, that's how i got to where i am"
"Bullshit, i'm not going to a man's puppet, i'm doing it my way and if it's not with Empire then so be it" Kia grabs her bag and attempts to walk out the door but a strong hand on her wrist stop her
"Listen here, bitch, you're nothing. You think you can make it without Empire? How cute." Liyah lets go of the girls wrist and starts to walk around her "I mean look at you, no white man's company is going to take you plus you're just known as "Tiana's cousin" and nothing more but with Empire we can create your own name, own image, just you" Liyah stops in front of the girl and looks at her "so?, are you in?"
Kia looks at Tiana then at Liyah "fine"
Liyah smiles and starts to walk out
"Wait!, who are you, really?"
"Liyah"
"Mhmm, i like you, we're going to be great...friends" Kia says stepping up to the girl to shake her hand
Liyah takes the offer and grabs the other girl hand "we sure are" She says smirking.
