Britney's P.O.V

"Where the hell were you, do you have any idea how worried I've been?!" Nia got up rushing over to me.
"Yes 'mom' I'm sorry." I sighed rolling my eyes.
"I was scared shitless! There was a shooting not far from here Brit I didnt know what to think!" She crossed her arms glaring at me.
"There was a shooting?" My eyes widened finally understanding her worry.
"Yes." She sighed dropping her arms. "I'm sorry, I was just scared. I didnt know where you were or if you were okay I ju-"
I wrapped my arms around her cutting her off.
"It's okay just shut up already." I smiled poking her side.
"Fine whatever." She smirked rolling her eyes.
"So where were you then." She hooked her arm around mine walking back up the steps into our apartment.
"Well, I ran into that guy and his friends." I spoke quietly biting my lip.
"What'd I say." She smiled flipping her hair over her shoulder.
"Oh shut up." I laughed rolling my eyes.
"I did tell you though, you're gonna start seeing him everywhere now, and now you're going to tell me what happened." She smirked dropping onto the couch pulling me along with her.
I sighed and nodded crossing my arms.
I told her everything. From start to finish, every detail about what happened.
After I told her everything we sat there in silence for a while. Neither or saying or doing anything.
"Well." She spoke up breaking the silence.
"His friend sounds like a douche, this Blake guy sounds like the only one with a brain, and him, well I don't know about him." She shook her head lightly.
"I don't know how to explain him really, he seemed like he, like he cared about me." I shrugged lightly looking over at her.
"How so." She furrowed her eyebrows.
"Well, when Drew was holding me against the fence he was the only one to do something instead of saying something. Don't get me wrong Blake was trying to help but he wasnt listening, he acted like as if he couldn't call the shots or something." I shook my head holding my hand under my chin.
"I don't think that's very normal." She crossed her arms on her lap raising an eyebrow.
"I don't know, the way they all looked at him when he helped me, at Alex, they looked at him as if they had never seen him do anything like that. I don't know." I sighed leaning my head against my hand.
"Well whatever it was, just make sure you stay away from that Drew guy." She sighed getting up and disappearing up the stairs.
"Sure." I answered back to her but more to myself.
I had to know him. I had to know why he protected me like that, why they all acted like that.
I just had to.
Alex's P.O.V

"What do you mean there was a shooting?" I spoke into phone quickly.
"I mean what I'm saying Archer, there was a shooting and it's bad, there's a new gang coming and they're not holding back." Marcus spoke roughly each word being processed through my mind.
"I won't let anything happen." I spoke confidently my hand tightening around the phone.
"Don't you get it? It's already happened Archer! There's five kids and their parents lying dead on your turf!" He shouted through the phone.
I slammed the phone down, my breath coming to me in shorts huffs.
How could this happen.
Years of keeping this town safe and under control are being ruined by a group of idiots, idiots who killed innocent people.
Who would be next, what else was going to happen before I had to kill someone to stop it.
"Whats going on." Blake looked over at me crossing his arms.
"It's starting again." I sighed looking over at him.
"What is." He furrowed his eyebrows calling the rest of the boys over.
I looked at each of them clenching and unclenching my jaw.
"War."
